@trinitao the question about the overlay can be answered by Suunto only. I used the S7 for a few weeks without any Suunto apps and services (all disabled via ADB). I just used Ghostracer to record my rides. In this time I recognised that the sync with Google Fit and the shown data are correct and nothing is missing. From a Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 2020 I knew that there was an overlay too which can be disabled to speed up the watch. So I let the salmon.overlay disabled after reenabling all Suunto stuff. No problems and nothing is missing in the S7 functions up to the moment.

@jorgefd78 actually garmin also didn’t have bouldering for the longest time, added it just recently. Well, maybe suunto will follow the lead. I actually quite like how it’s done there: you can manually count ascends as well as choose a difficulty of a boulder problem ( same for climbing).

After removing and re-installing Suunto app, the problem seems to be solved. Topic may be closed mods.

@bulkan Ditto. I’ve votes too. Seems a no-brainer, especially if you regularly read the forum as lots of people seem to have multiple watches.

@isazi @martin-vrska thanks for trying! I’m hoping it was just an anomaly that won’t happen again until they update diary to let us resume after any technical issues like strava (fingers crossed) It’s all saved in diary so we should be able to use that and resume even if we aren’t at that exact gps coordinate. Strava just does a straight line the next starting point (doesn’t look the best but it’s better than nothing). TDLR tech isn’t perfect which means there needs to be safety nets

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos quick question, do you know if the power data from stryd will finally sync between ambit and suunto app? So far the info can be visible only on the watch…but it is strip out syncing with suunto app. sad!

@mff73 said in Bumpy and inaccurate altitude data with new Suunto 7: @themrdjj said in Bumpy and inaccurate altitude data with new Suunto 7: @brad_olwin They are from a program called GPXSee. I first download the initial gpx file from Strava, then I apply the correction on strava.com and redownload the gpx file. Hi, I read again this post, and this last answer makes me feel that we never see your real Suunto data only strave and GPXsee representation, with some gpx export. Do you have a QS account ? or any other account where you can view the “real” data from Suunto fit file ? or eventually share a suunto app link of an activity of yours with the issue, and experts may have a look at them. Agreed! We need to see the original data.

@jamie-bg C’est en pleine activité, car j’ai je ne dois surtout pas dépasser 155. C’est plus sur d’entendre que de voir. Je regarde ça, je vois si je trouve quelque chose.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos - maybe if paused the GPS fix setting could change to a quick check every 1/2 mins and if no fix after 10s stops trying - that would significantly improve battery life, especially from it continously trying to fix. And or maybe if app paused and in background - no GPS. If running and in background GPS remains active? Not sure how feasible any of these options are - but would think they are worth a consideration, especially considering the target market.

@eurohiker said in Vo2 max: @dimitrios-kanellopoulos said in Vo2 max: Firstbeat Didn’t actually know that! The other watches that have VO2 max, like TicWatch 3 pro, do not mention anything about firstbeat licensing which is why I didn’t know about it i guess. Will Suunto 7 be getting this to stay competitive? I saw you post something along the same lines requesting “estimated” to get around needing the licensing maybe? link text There’s a list of Firstbeat licensable features here (they used to have a selector where you could see which watches support which functions, but that seemed to disappear since Garmin took them over, for obvious reasons) https://www.firstbeatanalytics.com/en/features/ Does Ticwatch Pro 3 really have Firstbeat Vo2Max, I never found mention of it when scanning their website and manuals ahead of opting for S7 ?? (although I just refer to the Runalyze interpretation of Vo2Max which seems to work for me in line with what I ‘feel’ when I look at the trend of average Vo2Max)

@armando-rocha - still don’t understand what you mean by touch screen to wake up. Shouldn’t have to touch screen, as the data screen is always on while tracking - no need to tap anything. What app are you using to track?

@makzam In the Suunto Wear manual it seems is possible, as showed in the picture I attached before. So, time ago was possible. I hope Suunto will introduce it again in future upgrades. I like that feature in my Ciclo Indoor Activity. My previus Polar Watch has it
