@jamie-bg Okey, I nevermind used the DND in quick settings. The slider does the job alright and without any settings issue like you describe.

@jonathan-schwarz said in Adding Waypoints to Routes that Overlap: @nigel-taylor-0 SO update - with the new update today, if you have komoot linked on your Suunto app (partner connections) - any “Tour”/route you create on komoot is AUTOMATICALLY synced to your Suunto app route list. All you have to do is enable “Use on Watch” and you are good to go. Pretty slick. I think its been enabled since yesterday, I tried this but its nowhere near as useful as simply syncing routes created with Plotaroute (or other services) with personally made Waypoints for direction notifications. Good if you want to use Komoot, and are happy with the excessive directions that they create! I tried a 5k route yesterday via this process, it inserted TWENTY EIGHT instructions when it synced to SA, where I wouldn’t really need more than maybe 4 or so, if I just tagged the junctions…and of the instructions it created, I looked at a few of them and one was actually completely incorrect, suggesting a “U-Turn” when it should have been “Straight” (or actually just nothing!).

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I have the same problem with S7 but I think is the suunto app the question. if I use strava (standalone not connected to the phone) for my bike rides there’s no problem. the suunto app registers double elevation. so I presume that strava don’t use barometer but only gps. I like so much suunto app in the watch but I don’t use it anymore.

@steff Strange because it was even able to be preordered. Maybe I came across something that was supposed to be secret still or maybe it was an intentional unintentional mistake lol.

@cornell-tsiang I have think it’s definitely the app as in my case neither the 7 or the 9 would connect. Switching the watch off resolved it for now. I hope you get yours sorted

@mff73 Found it! Apologies, Runalyze UI didn’t seem too user-friendly. It’s in "drop down arrow > activity upload > synchronisation > hover over the clock icon “history import tool” Cheers

@jamie-bg said in S7 roadmap: what are Suunto plans here?: @nigel-taylor-0 - to get back from ambient screen you would need to press button, as you only have power save tilt on, so will only show you ambient screen when you tilt your wrist I know I need to press a button to get from the ambient low-power screen to ‘fully active’ - that works fine and is just how I want it. I’m only using a Suunto face, so thats fine…and the tilt in NORMAL circumstances is so good that its fine for me to have a blank screen, which shows time only when I move arm to look at it. I find the display too bright and distracting at night time to leave AOD on. What I’m saying is, in the night (or also seemingly under sleeves) - the tilt gesture itself often doesn’t work so I just have a BLANK screen no matter how much tilting I do. Its almost like there’s a proximity sensor which decides that if the watch is covered then power tilt to get to the ambient ‘time only’ display shouldn’t happen.

@flypg said in Auto pause feature on the S7 vs a different algorithm for the average speed in the Suunto app on the phone: @pilleus It is a pity that until now it does not have this function. It’s a great smartwatch but it’s amazing that it doesn’t have it, when even more basic models do It’s because of the Covid thing. So you don’t stop and keep moving!

@jamie-bg ill keep looking into the phone settings and see how i get on. ive tried it multiple times today and i can only get the watch and phone to disconnect if the phone switches off. the watch and phone then prompt for a passcode acceptance once turned back on. also battery life has been much better last few days. example: yesterday i had 40% left after a full day wearing + 1 hour exercise. today i have 70% left at 5pm.

@egika I have not had my S7 reboot in a long time. However, I do believe a small number of folks are experiencing this. Sorry, I do not know the cause.

@herlas - suppose from a hardware and software perspective they can do more. saying that my phone notifies me via vibration and notification tone for all notifications unless I turn them off, put DND, and or switch to a vibrate/silent notification. Your watch is effectively the same - you don’t want it to notify for an apps notification - turn it off for that app. You don’t want to receive any vibration (notification sound if you have a speaker which the S7 doesn’t) then put DND on (note you can also adjust DND like you can for your phone). You can also go into the apps notifications settings (on the watch) and adjust those if they have any built in - go and take a look at the options for google play store on watch (loads of different notification options - can tweak which notifications you receive) however some like messages - its on or off. So really bit like your phone - really depends what the dev has built into their app as to how your can adjust. You could try changing your notification previews to off - not sure if that changes whether it vibrates or not.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos awesome. I guess there’s nothing to do but wait for it then :). Thanks for the help, and thanks for building such an awesome free tool (quantified-self).
