I had the same problem after approx 18 months of usage, screen burnt in and was getting hard to read out with white/light backgrounds. Like some other contributors, I do not use a lot the screen during my activities (screen off 95% of the time). Suunto reparied/replaced the screen during warranty end of 2022. However, the screen has again burnt in and again the watch starts to be quite unusefull… i think it’s more of a design problem and the choice of this amoled screen seems not to correspond to the high Suunto standards…(I own also a Suunto Core from the nineties…yes last millenium, which still operates perfectly). I’m thinking chaning the watch, still I lost some confidence in Suunto flawless quality, and have some doubts on amoled technology.

To put music on your device, connect it to your computer using a USB cable. Open your music management software (like iTunes or Windows Media Player), select the songs you want to transfer, and sync them to your device. You can also drag and drop files directly to your device’s music folder.

To resolve the Google Music or Music App launching and screen flickering issue, try restarting your device, updating the apps and operating system, and checking for malware. If the problem persists, perform a factory reset after backing up your data or consult your device’s customer support for further assistance.

@Android-Home I think a multimeter will give the best answer.

Same here. Display burnt. No more updates. This was not my first Suunto but definitely my last.

@BinoWorld-UK Reply from Suunto today - “Unfortunately, Suunto app does not have dark mode maybe in future it might get update where you can change the mode.” I don’t think it is a priority. for Suunto. They should take a note from Strava who have just announced Dark Mode app support. Until then I will be unable to read the Suunto widgets on my android phone for 12 hours a day. The lack of support makes the existing black text unreadable as the widget background does turn black! Been chasing Suunto on this for over 12 months. Come on already.

@Reacher999 I don’t think you will get far with legal action against Google! You should read about Wear OS3 to determine the responsible party.

Just got Rungap - it’s very cool! One question for other users: any idea why an export from Garmin into Suunto, does not show the time in heart rate zones in the latter, even though it does in the graph?

@Andi-Buzer said in Treadmill Distance Accuracy: Nonetheless it wasn’t helpful neither being able to choose between sensors to connect nor see the name of the connected sensor on the watch. Agree, sensor management should improve.

Great analyses. Today, Fossil announced they would not make any more Wear OS watches and planned to exit the market immediately. The last Fossil Wear OS watch was released in 2021. Google made a poor decision by forcing Wear 3.0 to be a Google and Samsung hardware duopoly

There’s so much at your fingertips today, back when I was starting out I had to go out and hunt for books! I’m along the same lines of thinking as Brad. I’m an older athlete with 20+ years in my legs, but back when I was starting out I remember reading a lot of books. From this I pulled the ideas that I either liked or made sense to me and tried them - over time lots of different training methods rather than just one or two. You eventually start to get a grasp and a feel on how your body responds to the different training and stimuli and how you are recovering and progressing; over the years and decades I’ve taken the best bits of various approaches and tailored them to my needs and what my body responds best to FWIW I have followed guides and training plans in the past for half and full marathons, but the results were usually mixed. The downside is that they’re ultimately just generic plans in which everybody is going to respond differently to. Maybe do some research into who some of the top or accomplished people are in your sport and do some digging into what works for them, then trial and error it until you start to get a feel of what’s working or not working. Again as Brad mentioned AI could be another good option, my training partner used ChatGPT to write him a training program for a 50km that we both recently raced and that worked well for him
