Problem occured for indoor work-out - without GPS. I see the problem is corrected now I tried with ‘running’ - thanks for the advice. I wonder however about the cause of the problem ?

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Hi Dimitrios, thanks for the feedback. I thought the reset is not possible for now, but it would be a big deal to make recovery time more usable.

@Girts-Gudrits these are Apple settings. You may want to check your iPhone manual. What appears on the lock screen will be sent to S9 notifications.

@Oktan That’s why I wrote it here. Ambit is still in the portfolio - so if you need this function you can get it.

@General_Witt yeah, it is in the manual. Sometimes it helps reading it [image: 1597990620130-1feec73a-7892-4e5c-8283-c877d3319527.jpeg]

@dagmunk First one takes the longest Also, just to be sure everything works properly, go to Settings - General - About and check that the Assisted GPS date is current. If it is old even though you have synced your watch with SuuntoLink/Suunto App, there might have been some problem with assisted GPS data synchronisation - usually holding the upper right button for 12 seconds to soft reset the watch and syncing afterwards solves the issue

@Egika - have the same issue with paddleboarding, and have been advised that a fix will be coming. I don’t know about you, but I generally don’t spend all my time looking at my watch, I only tend to look at it occasionally to check heart rate, pace etc, thus I don’t find it a major issue to turn it on and off as it is very easy and quick to turn off the screen - pull down settings bar and press screen off. And just as quick and easy to see tracking - just press suunto button. Do that all the time when paddleboarding, Considering the ambient tracking screen doesn’t show much if any detail anyway, you need to wake the screen, and I suspect that whatever solution they come up will probably be manual -like maybe a long press of the suunto button to turn off screen, short to wake up (as I can’t see how they will find a tilt function that paddling will not activate - maybe hold wrist flat and deadstill, or hold up to waist hight facing face) the current solution isnt that onerous. Would be good to see a long press option on all the buttons, just like the menu/assistant button and have the ability to customise the other long presses with apps/settings.

@regger also, leave it for a night in lukewarm water, helps with keeping the sensor clean.

Try to place the watch well over the wrist. Suunto’s HR readings seem to be very affected by that. I come from a Spartan WHRBaro and we’ve never been friends in relation to optical HR measurement. I remember once that I forgot the chest HR strap and has to rely on optical when I was just doing easy warm up at -supposedly- 192bpm… Now I have a Polar Vantage V and it reads HR properly with the watch where a watch should be places, not that over the wrist. 24hr HR reading is spot on. There must be some reason why I have such different experience with these two well-respected brands. The Vantage is smaller and lighter than the Suunto. So I guess that could be a key factor? Who knows… Give the different placement a shoot and see if that helps!
