@rudig If you search the forum you’ll find some discussions about it and, if I remember well, a feature suggestion about watch face. Please, before opening a new thread search for existing ones. You can probably already find an answers to your doubt

@surfboomerang said in [S9 watchface FR]: distinguish of tapping to upper half of screen: unfortunately no new firmware release after 19th of november 2018. So no changes. I hoped there’s some FW being under testing which could give us some hope…

@silentvoyager I don’t have an S9, but an SSU, and if one Day this feature comes to me, I would like it to work like your proposal. So +1 for me

@kurko said in [Feature Request S9]: button lock to home screen: Getting back to this discussion as I realised why this is happening to me and maybe not to all other S9’s: my S9 Baro Titanium has different buttons than S9 in general, which makes the faulty presses happen. Titanium has longer buttons. I have a S9Ti as well and this never occurs in watch mode but likely differences in anatomy…should be implemented to help those that have this issue. Voted. Votes matter…

Suunto 9 should have great open water track. However that depends on the way you swim. The watch needs to come out of water so freestyle is the recommended style. Breaststroke will keep the watch in the water for long. as a quick test , switch to navigation screen when swiming and check if the arrow that shows your location and track work while swiming. The more you keep it underwater the longer it will take to get a fix the next time you take it out

The altitude will automatically calibrate when starting an exercise. I never manually adjust my altitude. When traveling to and from work my altitude changes and sometimes it is not correct. This is typically due to changes in air pressure and will correct next time FusedAlti is activated. To activate FusedAlti manually, simply go to shortcuts from the altitude screen and select auto adjust altitude. Leave the watch outside and stationary until adjustment is complete, I usually take it off of my wrist. Hope this helps. PS. I summited a 4334m peak on Monday and have not adjusted my altitude in a long time. My watch read 4344m at the summit. I can live with that!

@omunoz Had a big and nasty rain with some serious winds and temperatures drop the other week, and the storm alert did go off. But I concur: it takes more than just rain for the alert to appear. Still pretty cool… Some weather shouting from somebody other than Weather Channel.

Mine will frequently have a different altitude for home prior to and following an activity. This is almost always due to pressure changes and will correct with the next activity. I suggest you do an altitude calibration on the watch, this can be done from the Nav menu. I do not think that this is necessarily a bug. Unless after reading your post, is this during an activity?

Same methodology, but same day and continuous run. Just Navstar. [image: 1543485452972-navstar_2.5.18-resized.png] [image: 1543485462386-navstar_2.5.18_sat-resized.png]

Probably yes. It’s a known common localisation issue.

I’m one of the lucky ones, fairly consistent readings throughout the life of the watch. Consistently about 3-5 beats higher than a chest strap but in that range enough that I can count on that and make adjustments if needed.

I know, I know (in fact you should recognize my profile page pic ) Several years ago, no watches, no barometer no anything, I was caught in a light snow storm around Rosetta refuge (dolomites) but honestly I don’t think that having baro data available, I would have been able to avoid it. Of course I agree it’s useful for long activities (many days) as a forecast. Maybe ,I’m not sure, when we’ll be able to add graph to custom sport modes we could add alt/baro graph to it

@stromdiddily said in S9 v. 2.1.14 has GLONASS disabled, right?: Galileo reports over on the Garmin webs don’t seem to be so good but very early days and different chipset obviously. When the GPS is shitty anyway, it doesn’t matter at all! @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in S9 v. 2.1.14 has GLONASS disabled, right?: However if all goes well we will all be happy with the new Sony stuff that suunto is working on. We put a lot of work atm at the subject of GPS This sounds so great!

@NickK said in S9 v. 2.4.14 GPS performance and practical questions it raises: @paradize He promised an in-depth review of the Apple Watch 4. He did all of the previous versions without much fanfare because to this date, Apple Watch remains kind of a marginal player as far as athletic endeavors are concerned. It’s the big boys like Garmin, Suunto, and Polar who get special attention. First look, unboxing, hand on, in-depth… Also, I suppose the fact that Apple doesn’t send him a device a month or two before the release has something to do with the lack of early articles too Let’s wait and see what happens…
