I’ve not tried this type. I’m still finding the interval training function on my Suunto watch to be quite frustrating. While the Running/Interval sport mode does display the remaining distance/time for the current interval, it lacks a crucial feature: the number of repetitions completed (n of m). This information is essential for tracking progress and pacing during a workout.
Additionally, I’m unable to customize the data screens for this mode. On the other hand the data screen showing the remaining distance/time for the current interval can not be added as a customizable data screen in the normal running mode.
Furthermore, the integration between interval training and structured workouts from the Suunto app seems limited. It appears that interval-specific data fields are only compatible with manually entered workouts on the watch, not those synced from the app.
I believe interval training is a fundamental aspect of many runners’ training plans. It would be fantastic to see Suunto address these limitations and provide a more robust and flexible interval training experience.
