@wotus said in Show battery percentage in app and give notifications when level is low: I miss an option to show the battery percentage of Suunto Smart Sensor, like the former movescount app. I would like to see the smart sensor battery level on the watch

Great job Suunto! I like that the tag feature is back again. Have som suggestions to improve this feature. You can just use a tag as a shortcut from the home screen. Just from the home screen you can get to the overview how many hours of training or distince the tag is related to. On the home screen all the other activities from people you are following are shown. So I think it is not so user friendly to scroll down to your own activity in order to catch a distinct tag and than get the stats. It is more comfortable to just “click” the tagg independet from if you are on the home screen or getting via the calender or trend page to your activity. So there was one thing left Suunto… I want to have the ascend stats too connected to the taggs Please… I am getting an old man and can not wait so long any more

@Tom-Struzik The way I see this is Suunto wants Bluetooth connection to only go to the proprietary app. Since other apps can connect to it via the API (the way hundreds of apps do), that should be possible. Likely Mares instead wants direct access to the Bluetooth of the device, to sync directly. This will likely never happen, because how can one expect Suunto to give access to their devices to a direct competitor? I don’t believe either of these will change; but it’s tangentially more likely that #2 might change, as #1 definitely won’t (and for good reason).

@isazi, yeah, if it’s not accessible it could be a problem . But I’m pretty sure that additional verification can be made in source portal. It’s rather logical - if something is private, I don’t want to share with other portals also.

Gravel is in the S9PP, and will come to the other watches. It is also already in SA.

S+ apps and guides have now much better descriptions, thanks to the introduction of the S+ store.

@Andi-Buzer Here You have a garmin statement about their solution. They are using baro for this and ‘moving forward’ Garmin devices that feature a barometric altimeter sensor can determine when you are going up or down by detecting a change in air pressure which will change as you climb or descend a flight of stairs or a hill, for example. Knowing this information allows the device to give you credit towards your daily floors climbed goal. What Are the Requirements to Receive Credit? In order to receive credit you need to meet the following requirements: A floor climbed is equal to 10 feet (3 meters) in elevation gain. Consistent arm movement tied to walking as you climb. Riding in an elevator would not earn you credit nor would riding a bike up a hill/mountain. Stopping in the middle of climbing could result in loss of credit. …and I Am Not Getting Enough Credit Credit is given for an consecutive increase of 10 feet (3 meters) in elevation with a grade of 10% or higher. For the most accurate measurement do not hold onto the hand rail when climbing stairs. Do not skip stairs (walking up every other stair). When walking outdoors, the grade of the hill needs to be at least 10% which is an angle of about 6 degrees. Remember that to earn credit towards your goal you must be moving forward and up. Elevators: You move up but not forward. Exercise equipment: With most equipment you do not move up or forward. source: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=LJ6vYF2phv7JUAOlsRRjC8

I come back to this suggestion after a long time. Now, with my S7’s screen smudged/burned from use, selecting the correct sport mode is sometimes a challenge. It’s still readable, but sometimes if you want to make it fast you can mess up mostly with sports modes you don’t use often. The light gray text, on the white background that is all stained with the gray of the marked screen, does not work well, not have good contrast, and you find that if you want to select a sports mode you have the main mode several times in a larger size, readable and in smallest and gray the most important that is the sport mode that you really want to select. I think that if the field order was inverted on the watch it would be great since the most important thing is the sport mode you want to select and not which mode it belongs to, even when it is still ordered in the same way since it is logical that the main sport mode is the most important to create the order. Also the colour of the icon helps to easy differenciate to wich main sport mode belongs to. Important note: on the photo the text is read a thousand times better than in real life, probably due to the size, light adjustment/focus of the camera, etc. In real life is totally less readable than on the photo. Nowadays when I navigate into the sports mode on the S7, for example, I could see: Running Basic Running Race Running Interval etc. and they grouped by the colour of the main activity, but I think that could be a great solution for this, at minus on the S7, only invert the display field on the SWA: Basic Running Race Running Interval Running Thanks! Posting again for visibility, this would be very nice to have, and both Komoot and Strava have something similar already.
