@silentvoyager my personal view is that merged heatmaps show basically where people move often. Maybe I see it different as I most likely live in a different style of area? Running, Trailrunning and MTB already look very similar. You can check my area, east of the city Zug. If heatmaps merge you’ll loose the reason for the heatmap: to see where it’s worth to go for a specific sport. Plus I don’t see any harm in keeping it separate… you can check running AND trailrunning. Maybe I see it wrong but the heatmap for me is to fly high and checkout an entire area, but the closer details at second sight

@silentvoyager Appreciate your thoughts. I think that must be it, the bluetooth connection dropping in and out depending on the proximity of my phone and watch. Somehow this seems to be resetting my chosen sync/data restriction choices…

@sartoric I would welcome this feature too - in fact I submitted a new request before finding your post here. This background data sync process is not clear or easily understandable. Control is not in the hands of the users. IMO this is not good enough. Having tried and failed to restrict the app multiple times, as you say updates seem to reverse the process, or user choice is just being bypassed somehow. From the responses above it looks like this is a bug that needs fixing. Suunto* this is user data and privacy controls we’re taking about, please take this issue seriously. Cheers – Joe S.

And why not to add weather trend indicator arrow on face watch screen just as it is already present altitude value. I as a former user of suunto core really liked those features on that watch

@margusl that is more or less the main topic - trust. I trust Strava approx as much as Facebook, Apple, Google and Windows, and although I absolutely understand that I have to disseminate my (personal) data in order to see nice curves, maps, etc, and am absolutely willing to do it (and of course already doing it), I at least try to limit the number of services which are receiving the data directly from me. And, of course, try to avoid the “worst ones” (following my own judgement and not always the general terms and conditions with the nicest wording).

@FredMt I totally agree. Cumulative ascent for trail running, or MTB, and available for weeks, months and years are some must have functionalities !!!

@sartoric yes I am aware how target zones work and use whenever I can, but right now they are pretty much useless if you want structured workouts and can only do simple repeated on/off intervals at same levels. I am talking about being notified of what zone you are in during workouts … something like 5 beeps or vibrations for zone 5, 4 for zone 4 and so on. For a use case take an example of a very simple cycling interval workout: 3 min warm-up 3 x (3 min at tempo 70-80% FTP @ 90 rpm / 5 min at sweet-spot 80-95% FTP @ 60 rpm) 4 x (2 min at tempo 70-80% FTP @ 90 rpm / 1 min full 100% FTP @ 60 rpm) 3 min cool-down (FTP = functional threshold power) This is the type of thing we still can’t set up on the watch to follow and would be quite dangerous to do outside without the audio/vibration feedback from the watch just to check on the screen which power zone you are actually in. This is just one of many examples. Also this is handy for HR zones when climbing on a bike so you don’t overshoot and blow out as we say - there are always sections on a course you know you can push full gas because there is a mellow section afterwards to recover and know what zone to stay in to recover for the next push … a lot of zone jumping so a simple “target zone warning” won’t cut it. Constantly looking down at the watch on the handlebars is often times dangerous. But yes, I get it … not many people use this and it is not main stream enough to implement, even tho other companies do it.

@Gábor-Tóth said in Trends -: Hi Guys, maybe this was already discussed, I just did not find any topics about this! I think it would be great to include into the SA, a trends function as well. I think it ads a lot of added value in race preparation as well as you can track your overall progress there as well. - something like this: [image: 1571834781874-capture.png] Absolutely this. This is #1 what I miss in Suunto App and is holding me to also using Movescount app (justo to upload to MC ecosystem). But you should stay tuned because it seems movescount might not be going away. Probably in November we will get further information.
