I built a subscription service for syncing weight, would people be interested if I added Suunto Support?

It’s called Smart Scale Sync

There’s no API for updating Suunto weight, so it would have to securely collect credentials. I’ve taken a similar approach for Garmin, TrainerRoad, and Concept2.

If there is enough interest I can give it a try!

Edit: Just wanted to say that an API based solution like the IFTTT proposal above would be the best way to go. Smart Scale Sync would be something to fill the gap until API support becomes available.

@pilleus thx! I will give it a try. However I think that is a workaround for something that can be automated based on configuration (just like de don’t disturb between hours)

@silentvoyager FW related suggestions should always be sent also to suunto support for consideration.
I am not sure that anyone here is considering these suggestions with which I agree BTW.
Suunto’s philosophy is to make a general setting for all and not allow for much individual customization.

@Dušan-Ković from my point of view, the different screens should reflect the metric selected as target in the sport mode. This would allow me to use a single sport mode to record different intervals.

Aside from this I agree that seven fields are useless during the interval. Ideally I would like one display with the following:

Number of repetition Average of target in current repetition Remaining duration of repetition

For recovery seven metrics feel acceptable…

Suunto 9 has no performance level in movescount
But it has a vo2 max which is suunto’s algorithm

Ambit3 has performance level and vo2 max in movescount

Thank you @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos. This is awesome. May I now be bold and ask for the other activity I am missing. Via Ferrata. I do both Rock Climbing and Via Ferratas and it would be great to be able to keep them apart. Today I do it via a note in the description but it would be great to keep them separate in the the statistics (without having to call one of them Cheerleading).

@jean-william-cousin Yes, for manually analyzing your own performances, this would suffice - however, if there were to be further developments in the Adaptive Training Guidance to truly personalize individual training/performance recommendations, you would need another solution to separate the data.

I am in the minority but I have my say: I don’t think the Suunto app needs to crowd its interface with very often inaccurate weather data.
Prefer to search for them on sites that I consider most reliable
