I also met abnormal long recovery times (>40h) the first year I went on my usual skiing holidays on the Alps with my new Race. Day after day the Fatigue (TSS/d) skyrocket and at the end of the week I was supposed to be nearly dead …

@Stavrogin they are not exactly equal because HR zones can only be set on the watch, making your imported activities happen in completely different zones. For Garmin RunGap has a “fake Garmin device” option that works really well

@Maarten can you share the position details with me (maybe in private message)? Then I can follow up on this with Suunto. Thx

Factory reset done. It doesn’t seem the problem has been resolved. Continue with high consumption.

@Highlands I totally agree. Who are we to convince you to buy something so personal. If you are serious about your training, this is your training partner/coach.

@Tami999 Yes I did. That didn’t fix it. Suunto replaced the watch under warranty. The new one has been fine so far… but only time will tell.

@Arju-Ambin said in Watch stopped measuring mid run: Same happened to me on the latest update. Around the 20km mark it just froze. I had to soft reset to make it work again. The activity was tracked until the watch was turned off. The last 10km of my 30km run I wrote in manually as I didn’t have time to fiddle with my watch during the run. Have had long runs later on and haven’t experienced it again. Seems like it happened randomly. Another crash happened mid run yesterday at the 5km mark, I ran 10km in total. I couldn’t be bothered to fix it mid run but the watch eventually rebooted by itself. Half of the run was tracked. This is the second time it happens. Half of the screen turned black and everything just froze. Anyway, I went for a 10km run today at the same time as yesterday and the watch didn’t crash at all. I’m on the latest firmware 2.40.38. last time I was one the previous firmware. This seems so random.

@Ghost often yes, but you can’t blame the user when an app is not generating graphs, can you?

@maszop For me it happened after half an hour of hike, in Serbia. Never had that problem before and I usually hike in that region often, and I was on the same track few times before without any issue. I’ve had hikes of 10 hours long and never had a crash so I don’t think that region or duration of recording is thr problem. I wouldn’t even mention this one craeh here if I didn’t saw that other people had same problem recently. P. S. I had 4 more activities recorded after the crash without any problems

@AP852 said in Too used to the old ways?: All good points. and @Tieutieu that fear of change is totally me! One thing that I do know won’t change in regards to the screen is the ability to have it always on like on my 9 Peak. With the AMOLED screen, it just wouldn’t work, but with the other display, it’s no problem because it isn’t such a battery hog. Maybe I’m being too picky, but it just makes me second guess myself. After going from a Fenix 6x to an Epix pro, the lack of always on does take some getting used to, as does the slight lag get the screen on with wrist movement. Just bought a Race as the epix screen is too small for my poor eyesight, and my issues are no Parkrun barcode, and no connection to vitality to get pints.

@Marius-Jacobsen-Eggerud said in Weekly summary treadmill missing: @pilleus That is a workaround, but in my mind not how the clock should work. Well sadly sometimes it is the only way. When I go for a walk with my kids a choose mountaineering as walking activity screws up the VO2max.

@colinmacdon This has happened to me a few times as well. I was going to send it back but then decided to wait for the update. When that didn’t arrive when the Vertical’s did, that was a bit frustrating, but hopefully it will come soon and fix this issue along with the other small bugs. I have to admit that it’s kind of frustrating that Suunto doesn’t release smaller bug fixes more frequently—there clearly are a lot of bugs with this new software, and fixing a few at a time seems like a better approach to me than waiting months, especially for their new flagship watches.

@far-blue I have used Coros pro two years, did not flip the screen. I liked to use my left thumb. Now one week I used it in flipped mode, nah, do not like it
