@isazi
Hi,
I’d like to ask whether, during the multi-sensor test, you’ve come across the display of sensor battery status. I happen to know people who use both Race and Race2 models, and these functions work there. There used to be a similar feature with the Ambit 3 Peak as well — if I remember correctly, the earlier version of the current app also showed this. So I don’t think it would be too much to expect this function to appear on the Ocean as well. It’s actually a very useful feature — it’s good to know in advance if, for example, the heart rate sensor’s battery is running low, rather than discovering it right before or during a workout.
Furthermore, I’d like to ask you, as a moderator, whether there’s any way to start a more direct, earlier communication with Suunto. I’ve always believed in finding solutions — listing problems or repeating negative opinions doesn’t help much. I think many would agree that sharing a roadmap and holding a discussion about feature priorities with user involvement would be valuable. I know there have been efforts in this direction, but they don’t seem to be very successful so far.
I also understand that “silly” or technically uninformed demands shouldn’t drive development. However, as we can see here on the forum, there are plenty of logical requests, constructive suggestions, and valid criticisms worth considering.
So my question is: could we initiate something like the following through this forum?
• Official sharing of a roadmap, outlining general directions — not necessarily with fixed dates, but with a rough timeline.
• Feedback on key user requests, such as dive function improvements, dive screen customization, multisport features like sensor status (which I’ve personally been advocating for), as well as watch face bugs, widget fixes, modernization, and further development.
• Regular status updates on the progress of features and improvements. For instance, I really appreciated your post mentioning that you were testing functions users have been waiting for.
It would be great to have all this not only through forum discussions and ad-hoc Q&A threads, but in an official, transparent, and publicly accessible format.
I believe users have a lot of ideas — and some of them could genuinely be useful. How do you see it? Would there be a way to make room for such an initiative?
