@Marco-Grangetto check this post, there is a firmware with a fix that you can install yourself before release. It should solve your problem.

@BrunoH it hasn’t been until now. It counts very few steps for me during activity. half of the fair value. I have noticed this error so far.

I just got a Suunto 9 baro to play with. In the past I had s9p, and as far as I can tell the Suunto 9 peak was sluggish than this, so I believe Suunto has improved this along the firmwares. This was heavily discussed on other topics. If you want to change brand just for that I can tell you that any forerunner 45 , 245, fenix 6, 945 , etc will be much faster. But at the current state Suunto “slugginess” isn’t as anoying as it used to be. S9pp has improved also from what I’ve read Yes and no, s9pp is getting slower, and it’s gps is getting worse as well, just like my S9B/s9p Just out of curiosity (really) , if your experience is that bad , how come you still buy suunto watches ? S9B , s9p and S9pp are not that much different after all ? My s9p btw after the last firmware update is better but has definitely worse battery life , sluggish watch face (I use the one with the baro graph ) but much better sport performance Because when it’s getting slower, it’s out of return window, lol. I only use the watch for sport, so the slow UI is not an real issue for me, I only use it couple of time a week

@ADHDMonkey If you extend “Suunto environment” a little bit, you may consider intervals.icu, which can read data from Suunto and e.g. Oura and give you a combination of the metrics of both, making it a very nice “training hub”

@michaeldwilson Follow up: Suunto replaced by SB9 with a brand new one. I certainly appreciate their customer support and the support of their products. I’ve worn Suunto watches for running/GPS since the X9s way back in 2005 or so. I’ve always been pleased and even more so now.

Please disregard and remove post. There was just a delay with the app loading on the watch. Thanks

@freeheeler I think that it will have to be done, but it is not easy. Maybe at first the log will be able to tell something?

@MarkusHH It was most likely caused by neither. The updates “reveal” underline hardware problems. This of course calls into question why there was a hardware problem in the first place, but it’s just to clarify. But do get in touch with support via chat. They should be able to offer a decent enough discount on a newer product/model from the suunto.com webshop.
