@Vrba007 Here’s the test I use to see if the compass is calibrated when I don’t know where North is. Hold the watch level and let the red North pointer settle. Note the pointer’s direction and ideally line it up on a terrain feature. Now rotate the watch in your hands and see what the pointer does. If the pointer returns quickly to its original direction then that direction should be North and the compass should be calibrated. If the pointer wanders around the edge of the screen before stopping at some arbitrary point then I assume it’s not calibrated. Of course, you need to recalibrate every time you charge your watch, as the charging cable connects magnetically.

@isazi I just changed that now front eh suunto 7. So it was the very first ski test I did. I used that for running and trekking. Trekking it worked. Running it takes ages to get the gps signal and sometimes after a minute from the beginning the training app reboots. So that’s another problem too. Anyways. I bought it refurbished so I might send it in again. One other thing I noticed in comparison with the 7 I had is that the running pace on a threadmill indoor with no gps is totally wrong. The calculation made on the moving on the wrist (indoor with no gps) for the pace on the 7 was correct (identical to the one on the threadmill) on the 9 is totally wrong. Tells me I run with a 2’30” per km pace…

@dulko79 @Brad_Olwin I have to be honest and fair. it is indeed brighter, crisper, bigger fonts… it’s better readable even with rain drops remaining on the glass

@isazi that would be very useful! Also there’s the German alpine society (DAV) formula where you count like this: Longitude 1h per each 4km Ascend 1h per each 300m elevation gain Descend 1h per each 500m.elevation loss Add times for elevation gain/loss, compare to the time for longitude: half the smaller of the two and add to the larger of the two. Example: 15km round tour with 1500m elevation gain/loss. 3h45m for 15km 5h ascend 3h descend So 3h45m vs 5+3=8h, therefore we half the 3h45m and add it to 8h: 8h+3h45m/2=9h53m The times are ± realistic, maybe one could set adaptive coefficients for better precision.

@isazi @Stevilz hm, I have no experience at all as well with twin power sensors. I have a single power meter, however, for twin powermeters, I think that you are actucally connecting to only one of them. They are syncing between each other and sending summed up data to the receiver (phone/watch or bike computer). That is at least my opinion and this is what I read in the manual for your pedals: NOTE: The left pedal receives the software update. The left pedal sends the update to the right pedal. Hope that helps!

@janeibb I am currently synching via Strava, but it doesn’t seem to be picking up walking activities. I was syncing via training peaks (free account) up until last week and it seemed to pick up all activities.

As said, not available atm through the app. There should even be a feature suggestion about it. I’m closing this one to avoid duplicates

@freeheeler said in Suunto 9 Baro AGPS n/a: @MiniForklift try a sync again, mine shows agps from 17th dec how’s your recovery by the way? Sorry, I missed this. Recovery generally I think has been good, back is feeling great and I am completely pain free now which is the first time in over a decade. I have a lot of tightness and pain in my hips which is supposedly normal while they adjust to everything, some days have been better than others but I’ve been keeping active and walking a fair bit. I might start some easy cycling once my hips are feeling good again, running will probably still be a while yet Appreciate you checking in, hope you had a great Christmas and New Year

Hello I’m missing heart rate zones from all my xc skiing activities in Suunto app. I am using the newest beta version on iPhone (2.19.1). The zones are showing on my Suunto 9 baro but not on the app. All other activities show the zones as normal. Does anyone else have this? [image: 1672601867414-img_98459ea24acb-1.jpeg]

So dnd is and has been disabled all the time, but I did some more testing and it turns out it’s not only during night. It’s kind of intermittent and sometimes when it does light up it stays lit for only a second or so, instead of the standard few seconds. Any ideas?
