            Jee that escalated quickly. We lost NickK

            The update is bound next week around the 20nth fyi

            Reboots as not often but still they affect some users and that’s bad

            However I really don’t understand what this conversation has to bring except some people getting furstrated and loosing their time assuming about how QA works etc. Jee

              @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Yeah it escalated pretty quickly, probably I’ve helped to do that 😯 .

              But for me is quite annoying that people complain hard when the company (at least the people that are testing the upgrade) have said that they have found the root cause and the fix is being tested right now. If you are very angry with your product you can contact support, file a complain with the company, I do not know…

              I also found quite childish to leave the forum because you have had some ā€œhardā€ discussion, but it’s a free world, isn’t it?

              Anyway, all this is my opinion.

                    Well, if I were to put out a release like the Vertical, the next morning I’d have a short chat with my boss and HR, and then security would take away my badge and escort me off the premises. Which is a big reason why I don’t put out releases like that.

                    Since you obviously believe that Suunto’s process is fantastic and testing is top notch, could you please explain why the offline maps don’t work? Or how can a broken recovery timer be missed during testing? Or why calories do not add up?

                      No reboots for me. My watch actually records my activities without any issues, it’s never decided to restart during the middle of a run and I don’t have any problems loading my maps… I almost feel like I am missing out on the fun

                          I had all the fun with the reboots. I tried to fix it with a hard reset, which didn’t help. So I did another hard reset. This was 10 days ago, no reboot since the second reset. I fixed the issue before Suunto. Woohooo! šŸ˜‰

                          Do you need a firmware developer? I know stuff like nodejs and react. A watch firmware cannot be more complicated than <Watch onReboot={doHardReset} />. šŸ˜‰

Curious as I do not - I’ve only been using the stock sport modes until the next firmware update and dont really use apps or guides yet either for same reason, and I also have had no reset issues etc.

                                @gone-troppo regressions can always happen. But I am pretty sure Suunto devs know what they are doing.

                                  @mikekoski490 If I may answer… I had reboots with default and custom sport profiles, with and without S+ apps/guides. I even had a reboot directly after a hard reset with all settings on default. After my second hard reset the watch started to work flawlessly. The only thing I changed was to turn the standby light on to drain the battery faster to 0% (for battery calibration). Still 40% to go after 10 days and 22h of activity recording.

                                    Yes, I have a road running profile and a hills/trails profile, both of which are custom modes that I created. I do use the apps occasionally but I think it’s just the carbs/fat burner one I have used so far on my SV

                                          @mikekoski490 I also didnā€˜t have any reboots or big issues with my vertical. Just one time, the watch freezed in the watch face directly after a short test (<1min) of a new created personal sport mode. I did a soft reset. But since this, no problems n using my own sport modes and also the onboard modes. I never used a S+ app with my Vertical until now…

                                            I always use custom sport modes for all my ā€œusual sportsā€: trail running, cycling, MTB, hiking, climbing. I also use apps sometimes : climb, safe and weather, and also guides with structured intervals, combined with apps (climb).
                                            I also use some stock modes.

                                            Not a single crash.
