Software Update 2.44.52 (2025 Q3 - HOTFIX)
-
@Kaiphi
I have a Suunto Vertical and I also have personalized sports modes, and none of them have been deleted during any of the updates. I’ve had the watch since February. I created the personalized activity about 5 months ago. -
With this new update I have very strange TSS data and recovery time. Yesterday I ran a trail 18km and 1200m of elevation. TSS was 160 and recovery time 365 hours…
Today I did a hike, similar 18km and 900m of elevation. TSS is 210 and recovery time is 720 hours.Something odd is going on…

@segi_pn Congratulations
I have the problem for a year with both verticals, and with my 9PP before that
-
@valeR Wow, it seems you had a really hard workout?
But by the way… I had a walk on saturday and a soft 5km run yesterday… the first activities on the actual firmware… for me, everything seems to be as usual… and yesterday, my VO2max was back… it disappeared after updating in august…
-
@Elipsus Indeed, I guess it’s not necessarily better elsewhere at others brands and that’s why I’m still with Suunto. For the moment…

@soisan but shouldn’t there be a bit of a prompt or assistance from the watch or app for this? I’ve recently noticed that (since the non-hotfix update I think) my runs are using TSS
which has been giving silly numbers because my pace zones were very slow. I’d taken some time to set heart rate zones, but I didn’t realise pace zones mattered or could be set manually until then.
So we’ve got great hardware, and more advanced training and recovery algorithms than the obvious competitors, and a new AI training plan tool - but I’ve got weeks of duff data because the advanced algorithms have been relying on some hidden values left on a default that the most basic of stats could have detected as wrong (>Z5 pace at Z2 HR for an hour?), and either automatically made a better guess at, or at least told me there was a thing to fix.
-
@John-Himsworth you are totally right, there are some really interesting ideas in your post! In the meantime and until Suunto creates the perfect app, I hope you manage to adjust your pace and power zones so that you won’t get any duff data anymore.

Has anything happened for those who are experiencing rapid battery drain suunto vertical more than 1% an hour??? My SV is currently with suunto repair for this issue haven’t heard from them.

Hi,
Beeping after auto-stop/start is still there - can’t be silenced.
Is this feature or bug? (I would like o swich beeping off, as it was before last major update).Regards, Marko

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos so we are all waiting for the bugfix for this software “update”.

My Race v1, updated to 2.44.52, reboots randomly every few hours. I noticed it first when it crashed within the first 5 minutes of the run.That short run was saved and synced to the app. I restarted the activity and ran an hour without any issue, the second run was synced as well. Thad day I noticed that the watch notified about the calories target reached (due to that run) randomly a few times. Before one of those I saw the Suunto logo shining on the display, so I realized this is due to random reboots. Since then, I continue to get reboots every few hours. Is that a bug? Anything I can do about it?
-
@halajos yes, contact support
-
@isazi do you have any details? I powered the watch off and then back again, the issue persists. I don’t want to try hard reset unless I have to. I wrote to support via the form on the home page, didn’t receive an automated “we’ve received your query” response, I don’t know if I should have.
-
@halajos if your watch is constantly crashing, and I’m sure most watches aren’t, something could be wrong at the hardware level, so you need support from Suunto.
Yes you can try a full factory reset, maybe it’s the last resort before asking for a replacement, or repair. -
@isazi this makes me worry
I entered the debug menu and noted the error code shown under “last error”. Maybe that can help support to identify the problem.
