Software Update 2.44.52 (2025 Q3 - HOTFIX)
-
@segi_pn Congratulations
I have the problem for a year with both verticals, and with my 9PP before that
-
@valeR Wow, it seems you had a really hard workout?
But by the way⦠I had a walk on saturday and a soft 5km run yesterday⦠the first activities on the actual firmware⦠for me, everything seems to be as usual⦠and yesterday, my VO2max was back⦠it disappeared after updating in augustā¦
-
@Elipsus Indeed, I guess itās not necessarily better elsewhere at others brands and thatās why Iām still with Suunto. For the momentā¦
(Merci pour le pseudo
)

@soisan but shouldnāt there be a bit of a prompt or assistance from the watch or app for this? Iāve recently noticed that (since the non-hotfix update I think) my runs are using TSS
which has been giving silly numbers because my pace zones were very slow. Iād taken some time to set heart rate zones, but I didnāt realise pace zones mattered or could be set manually until then.
So weāve got great hardware, and more advanced training and recovery algorithms than the obvious competitors, and a new AI training plan tool - but Iāve got weeks of duff data because the advanced algorithms have been relying on some hidden values left on a default that the most basic of stats could have detected as wrong (>Z5 pace at Z2 HR for an hour?), and either automatically made a better guess at, or at least told me there was a thing to fix.
-
@John-Himsworth you are totally right, there are some really interesting ideas in your post! In the meantime and until Suunto creates the perfect app, I hope you manage to adjust your pace and power zones so that you wonāt get any duff data anymore.

Has anything happened for those who are experiencing rapid battery drain suunto vertical more than 1% an hour??? My SV is currently with suunto repair for this issue havenāt heard from them.
-
Hi,
Beeping after auto-stop/start is still there - canāt be silenced.
Is this feature or bug? (I would like o swich beeping off, as it was before last major update).Regards, Marko

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos so we are all waiting for the bugfix for this software āupdateā.

My Race v1, updated to 2.44.52, reboots randomly every few hours. I noticed it first when it crashed within the first 5 minutes of the run.That short run was saved and synced to the app. I restarted the activity and ran an hour without any issue, the second run was synced as well. Thad day I noticed that the watch notified about the calories target reached (due to that run) randomly a few times. Before one of those I saw the Suunto logo shining on the display, so I realized this is due to random reboots. Since then, I continue to get reboots every few hours. Is that a bug? Anything I can do about it?
-
@halajos yes, contact support
-
@isazi do you have any details? I powered the watch off and then back again, the issue persists. I donāt want to try hard reset unless I have to. I wrote to support via the form on the home page, didnāt receive an automated āweāve received your queryā response, I donāt know if I should have.
-
@halajos if your watch is constantly crashing, and Iām sure most watches arenāt, something could be wrong at the hardware level, so you need support from Suunto.
Yes you can try a full factory reset, maybe itās the last resort before asking for a replacement, or repair. -
@isazi this makes me worry
I entered the debug menu and noted the error code shown under ālast errorā. Maybe that can help support to identify the problem.

since a few months I face a new battery drain on my Race s, not sure what is the root cause (sw update or hw issue - suunto replace my race s for the same kind of issue last year -. Iāve lost 15% of battery level last night. The HR reading is not great on my wrist, I regulary see the Rythm going very high when I start to run before stabilisation (close to my running cadence ?), even sometime I face a total loss of HR until I Pause my run. I tried Garmin and a poor Xiaomi watch to check, on both the HR reading was OK. Battery life and HR reading are both primary features of sport watch⦠Still not working properly after one year of update. Sunnto, wake up !

It seems to me that battery drain has been fixed. It looks like battery drains more like before.
-
@DuÅ”an-KoviÄ fixed battery drain? was there a hot fix I did not catch?
-
@Stefan-Kersting I think he missed a ānotā in his text.
-
@Stefan-Kersting No, watch just started depleting battery more slowly than before the update. Not sure if something is fixed, I just noticed that it lasts longer.
