@sartoric Well, yes, but the category should be self explanatory D’oh. Of course! Momentary idiocy attack here. Apologies. On the other … the OP’s title was pretty precisely about bearing rather than heading in compass degrees, hence the workaround process, so I wasn’t quite sure what you meant by “it” being visible in compass mode.

@suunto867: in addition to @sartoric and @Fenr1r answers, be aware that Moveslink2 will upload your activity to Movescount (at this moment) which is a different platform than the Suunto App.

On your later points, see @sartoric’s directions but as to on-board Topographic map - nope. And FWIW, I also use the thing for hiking and would also like to share your beliefs about FusedAlti but it hasn’t been my experience (on hills) that it’s much better than the Baro on the old Vector. Weather change might require the Vector to be manually corrected (of course) while, regardless of weather, the GPS component of FusedAlti could introduce its own errors, overriding manual correction. If your search yields simple, useful answers to your questions, please drop 'em back here and thanks in advance for the gleaning.

I’m sure Ambits and SA will be better friends at some point this year, but right now it may be a better option to stick with MC until it’s superseded by its successor. I don’t have an Ambit nor have used MC, so the app it’s mostly ok for me.

@andrasveres I reset GPS and rebooted the watch… it seems to work OK now. But at that time the watch did not record the path, only the 3 minutes. Still it drew a straight line to the destination and the point I reached… And at that time I locked the buttons. Maybe it is a one time issue and is gone now? I am going to risk and keep the watch I think. Give it a chance.

I would rather get first suunto app fully working with ambit 3, than PC ;( Whichever goes first - it won’t change my recent feelings about suunto … ;(

I’m having similar issues. It can be stable for weeks and then jump from ~50m asl to 4000m while dropping temp to -50C. E.g last week it was nice and stable (ski touring, alt. scale on the right, both profile and 1000-2000m range are correct): [image: 1582731632615-7dedde5f-0df4-4b7b-8dea-96881dc3d73b-image.png] A flat run back home few days later, real alt. diff should be in 10-15m range and it’s generally ~50m asl; bit challenging weather and trails in the woods, so some fused-alti shenanigans and baro drift is kind of expected: [image: 1582732395125-9b5c3cca-1da0-4997-9f38-3689d97c2888-image.png] And then this last night, real alt. diff should be in 30m range instead of 4000m. And when something like this happens, I always tend to get those choppy alt. charts in TP. Adjusted altitude before heading out but but it was rising from 50m to 1000m in like 5-10 minutes. [image: 1582732130510-ce72c871-92ad-487c-9271-af5863497829-image.png] After that last run I soaked my A3P in warm water for an hour or so, turned off fused alti, reset gps, switched to baro mode and set ref. altitude. And it has been super-stable for past 20 hours. Last time it did something similar was about a month ago. On a good day I still get something like this from my A3P for ~30m alt diff runs and this is almost identical of what I would get from 1m resolution DEM data provided by local land survey: [image: 1582733606716-8865ad9b-8837-49e3-8b41-00d2d8ef0a68-image.png]

@Fran-Rigo please also check, you’ve got 2 different tone settings, one is for buttons, the other one is for notification. If you think it is broken, you can ask Suunto service for support. They are fast and offer a great service. You can also check if it is still within warranty.

@soggygeorge I suppose you updated GPS/GLONASS sgee data using the mobile app or Moveslink2, right? Sometimes I notice on mine that the GPS search icon is missing and then it takes more time to lock. I’m suspecting its some sort of power saving bug because when this happens (no GPS icon on search) if I leave my watch alone it will not enter into power saving mode and turn off the display. I need more testing on this since I own the watch for not so long, but as far it lock within a minute max when outside.

In some post someone has said that the 4 first digits of the serial number are the year and week of production, I mean if the serial number is 1734XXXXXX… means that was produced the week 34 of 2017. Maybe you should keep the newer.

@jahtba , any bike sensor with bluetooth smart should work, including the ones from Polar. But when it comes to bike sensors, I personally would pick something that supports both BT & ANT+

@thailon said in Suunto ambit3 peak cant found gps signal for an hour. Did any tips to help ?: I just wanted to know this combination. Just for information. A3 user guide is quite complete and, among other bits that might not be too obvious, covers the service menu - https://www.suunto.com/Support/Product-support/suunto_ambit3_peak/suunto_ambit3_peak/features/service-menu/

Softreset performed? Maybe your sounder is broken.
