@dmytro agree, better than nothing. But seems not much logical). As for me, I don’t like to sleep wearing watches, it bothers me.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos said in my experience so far with S3F: @petra-p s3 is much better than s3f. just ordered a second hand S3F for my son as he crashed on the pumptrack and smashed his Fitbit completely he got for birthday only half a year ago… boy was he sad! but since we’re a Suunto family I decided to quickly organise him an S3… let’s see how it works

@devill I will answer here but leave locked. The S3 does not display these data but if connected to phone GPS the data for ascent/descent and altitude will be recorded in the app for outdoor exercises.

@reesmt78 thank you for the info. Right now the watch is broken and had to be sent for repair. But it will take around 3 months to repair. I wonder why the Indonesian distributor does not keep any spare S3 module in hand. Hopefully after changing the watch module, the battery issue will be solved. thank you

@surfboomerang said in Processor: but does it matter? What if they are the same and what if they are not? (just curious) I ask just out of curiosity. I mean why not to know this, most of the manufacturers of smart/sportwatches also say what a processor it is.

@Fran-Rigo I don’t know about problem of sound not working. That might be a hardware failure, but you should try resetting the watch just in case it’s some software bug. As of vibration, your watch does not have one. The only Ambit that has it is Ambit3 Vertical.

@Prenj you are right. That is the first time I realised that. Never knew Suunto built a watch with “GPS” that only works through Suunto App

It’s now 2020. Still no altitude. Given the heart rate is also inaccurate on a bike, the watch is not very useful beyond giving a distance and speed. Emailed Suunto. Rep refused to forward to manager. Most disappointing watch.

@Nhumbug A beautiful watch that is for fitness. It has an exercise program that was interesting to me. Also control your daily activities

@Brad_Olwin said in VO2max and fitness age with S3F: @lexterm77 I do not know the scale for fitness, it might be on the FirstBeat site. Both Suunto and Apple Watch provide VO2 max estimates for me that are about 5-8 mL/kg/min less than my dreadmill tests. My trail running moves are about 2ml/min/kg less than flat running moves, I don’t understand why trail running is included into FB algorithm when running with S9B, perhaps it would be better to use A3P in trail running. I don’t believe FB algorithm accounts for obstacles. My treadmill tests are off by 8ml/kg/min. I have looked into runalyze running efficiency and it shows me into “likely the real of world elite class world runners” [image: 1591995504560-f497528d-b7e1-47c9-afe1-7db48982058b.jpeg]

The only other thing to mention is that I noticed it with a friend who had a Fitbit Charge 2 with connected GPS, battery saving options active on the phone can completely ruin tracks. Might also be worth a look if that’s active when in an activity?

@Marco-Fardin is it something that happened once, or you always get such low calories counted?
