@Brad_Olwin I understand - and understand you.
App-wise: my choice would be SA, too, hands down, too in comparison to the MC-App, but
Website-wise/Computer-based: my choice is still the fully functional MC-website, as the only alternative site made and delivered by Suunto. There most certainly is a bunch of websites that can do a lot in order to analyse data, prepare for races etc, but these sites are absolutely not made to handle the Suunto-watches but only the data provided by these watches.
All in all the main argument has not changed: SA is no substitute for the MC-website, not even for the S9, not at all for its predecessors
Does someone, with an Ambit3 and a foot or power pod, know or tested in Ambit3 watches what does the “Power POD Compatibility” option do? I found this option in the service menu and since I own a “Run” version that can be paired only as foot pods, I find quite strange having this option.
Anything related to issues with Partner Sync (Strava, Training Peaks, Endomondo, Runanalyze)

@Дмитрий-Аверьянов did you allow it for all activities or for individually?
We awlays send HR data to partners, we actually dont have any implementation for “removing” them
I have Spartan Trainer for over one year now,
The battery measurement it’s a little bit strange.
Is it is cold in winter there maybe drop of battery twenty percent.
If you come from your work out on the shower the battery goes up twenty percent.
That’s only what the display shows the real battery capacity is normal for this price tag
I think the real battery capacity with GPS one is around 60 kilometers Maximum. Never tried the energy saving mode because I like precision in my data
I can confirm that Suunto 9 is fantastic in OWS. Last week I swam at least twice a day at sea and s9 never missed a shot, pretty impressive. I swam even wearing SSU, which is also good, but Suunto 9 has something extra. I have many tracks to show you if you want.
I would not try to wear it with particular methods, if not the most logical one, that is, on the wrist. Select OWS, wait 3 minutes by hand (but honestly, it is not even necessary as I could test) and start the watch before immersing it in water.
The only trick you need to have is to take care to carry long strokes, before dipping your hand in water for the next stroke, so as to keep the watch out of the water for about 2 seconds and give the watch a chance to “talk” with satellites.
went out today using a custom activity profile and it worked fine. strange. will try the standard profile again tomorrow and see what happens. indoor rowing (erging) also transferred to strava fine as indoor rowing.
@alvaro-manzano hmmm. The syncronize is ok. For some reason thought your moves don’t get parsed. Do you have the latest Spartan software ? Have you reboot the watch and phone ?
@slashas yep, I didn’t think the first question of the hr belt is a bug. Just a question to make sure, I didn’t miss something obvious and connecting the belt was possible. Maybe I should make a feature request out of this, as the SA could be a good backup if watch battery is drained or some other way out of use.
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos so I’ve taken a look at this tonight . walking and Trekking do not record the route you have taken via GPS on a map. In my case mountain biking does. This seems strange to me, walking I can. Understand but Trekking you would want the GPS trail on the map.
Also within the App, why is there no way to see a daily graph of your resting heart rate , or your heart rate over a period of days ?
Lastly , the App keepings waiting for the application to respond in the diary section, switching between elements or in the home page editing an app. Perhaps better caching/background sync of previously completed activities is required here ?
Whatever it is , it doesn’t occur in the Sports Tacker app.
Still love it though !!!
Birth date or age is set only via the watch. if you set it atm via ST then it will create problems.
(But there are already problems since the watch only has birthyear)
it seems we have a straight email contact for those who are interested about developer API co-operations, not going to put it out here, though. So it will not be publicly available and you should be able to define why and for what you’d use it for
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in Altitude Stays at 0:
Are you using the S3F ? That feature is not there yet even on the watch.
I think in a future update it will come
Until then, there should be PLEASE an appropriate hint in the APP (for example, "No values for S3F at this time“) and you should no longer see incorrect data values (“0”)!!!
@Brad_Olwin
