i don’t know rungap, nor iOS, but on the Suunto’s side i may experienced myself, outside Suunto activities are not uploaded in Suunto with full data management.
HR data are “just” Hearth Rate ones, and probably not IBI ones (RR/HRV)
I didn’t check recently, but you can try : export a nice suunto activity fit file, with all data, zonesense working, etc… Reimport it without any change into Suunto with Rungap, you may loose something 😉
not a criticizm, Suunto is having its own devices and manage its own data, and then, when it comes to outside activities, it is managing according to priorities, i think.
Even if fit files are well structured, i imagine that so many data “format”/“issues” could not be compliant, and thus a nightmare to manage.

Just my own user experience and thinking.

[edit] original file for activities imported from outside are stored in Suunto’s backend, as far as i know and see. Meaning, original data are there somewhere

@Egika yes, that trail does not exist anymore but SA wanted me to go there. No significant change in elevation as you can see on the contour lines. If the track match it is still round about 1300 elevation. Even 20% deviation is not acceptable for route planning.

This is not the only issue with SA elevation. Go to https://www.engadinultratrail.ch/eut102 and import that GPX track. It is 5677vertical meters, but SA overestimates it with 6687. Garmin underestimates it a bit with 5490. For race planning not the best conditions…

@aldnet Yes, I’ve seen it time and again, not only with treadmill runs but regular runs outside if your pace jumps/drops quickly. I think there’s a bug in charts when they try to fit a graph within certain range of numbers.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos my run today is now showing with elevation so it appears to have solved the issue. I would still have thought though that it would record it the other options for GPS, if I’m going on a long bike ride then I would want the battery to last for the 6+hours that I may be out for. I’ll have a play with the other settings and see how that helps with battery life. Thank you for your help with this.
