@Patrick-Utz good, most of the time this is a sync issue not a watch issue.

@krsiakmartin Very probably Strava export it with a different type that matches AH values If nothing has changed, these are the mapping to Suunto activity types A type (running) and a subtype (trail) are set … maybe AH doesn’t map sport with both values, or they do not recognize “trail” Anyway I would contact Apple support

@Brad_Olwin I already did that. On their side everything seems fine and works. As I said, all other apps/ services work like Strava, Garmin or Coros. The strange thing is that the last 2 or 3 activities are in fact the latest and than all other activities are in the wrong order (so, 2-3 activities from 2023 and the next one from 2012 or so). That’s why I thought it’s a bug in the app which sorts by the wrong time stamp.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in Some activities synced offline are not visible to others: @inkognito said in Some activities synced offline are not visible to others: Ok, now I see the problem. There is something going on with privacy settings for activities that sync offline and spend longer time in phone without sync with server. Even though her default activity visibility settings are set to “Followers”, these activities were somehow set to “Private”. But she did not do that manually. There must be some bug with privacy settings and it might be related to iOS version of SA only. I created a bug Thanks @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos, I would have done the same.

Thanks for the help!!! I´ve already tried what @Umer-Javed suggested and it still does not work. I´m currently using v 2.14.0 which I assume is not a beta version. Will try to install/uninstall and go from there…

@pavel-samokha said in Suunto App not working on a Mac M1 chip using Ventura 13.0.1: @Brad_Olwin if I got it right it works for those who installed SA prior to Ventura, and if one reinstall or logoff/login then the app stuck on the map view. Though could be different in newer beta. I’ll try on my wife’s M1 and get back to you later. She has not installed this.

@Rokelly I am using a beta version of Ventura and not having this problem OS 13.2 and did not test prior versions. I was able to create a route on my MacBook Pro 16 M1.

@Egika yes, that trail does not exist anymore but SA wanted me to go there. No significant change in elevation as you can see on the contour lines. If the track match it is still round about 1300 elevation. Even 20% deviation is not acceptable for route planning. This is not the only issue with SA elevation. Go to https://www.engadinultratrail.ch/eut102 and import that GPX track. It is 5677vertical meters, but SA overestimates it with 6687. Garmin underestimates it a bit with 5490. For race planning not the best conditions…

I guess there is a problem with the trails layer on that section of the map (komoot is not using mapbox anymore, but maplibre). The app is not able to follow the path even if it visible (drawn) but there are no problem doing the same just a bit to the south (around Fiegls Gasthaus) I tried both Android and IOs It looks a bit strange on openstreetmap.org too but I didn’t dig deeper

@lexterm77 cannot help with this, you need someone working at Suunto for that. But we reported the issue so it may be fixed. I’ll share if I learn more.

@Aquamac said in Map not showing in app after run on iOs 16.0: @Mff73 I want to stick with Suunto as it feeds in to other apps. I already have a lot of data in there. Thanks sorry, i should have explained little more SuuntoApp and sports-tracker.com are “”““globally””“”" sharing the same database for activities. If you login into this website with your suuntoapp credentials (the exact same, no new account needed), you will be able to view the “sports-tracker version” of what is in your sunnto activities “data”. This site is not expected to be Suunto website, but as the data are shared, thus some of them displayed, it could be sometime a good way to identify some strange behaviours. For example, something the suuntoapp is not displaying, could be displayed in the web version of sports-tracker, which could tend to prove that database is “OK”, but system which renders it has some discrepencies. for your case, IF web is displaying the map, it could give some clue of potential issue. But there is high chance that map will be missing too, but who knows during investigation

@nassoscal I would risk stating what you may consider obvious: the proper way of recording activities, so that they show in Strava is: enable export of activities from Suunto App (SA) to Strava (in SA) sync activity from watch to SA SA sends the activity to Strava )this should happen automatically) Strava (app or web) should not need connecting (syncing) the watch to the app. Please note that occasionally, the sync process (from SA to Strava) takes a while (anything from a few seconds to a few hours). Sorry for talking the basics, but your original post wasn’t overly clear.
