@Mathis-.-Pct each activity has a title were you can write, but this is just a line of text. A private comment, is a section were you can write anything (like how do you feel, or how was the new pair of shoes working or if you run with a friend…) that it will be always only for you, so if the activity is public or only shared with your followers, it will not be exposed

@timecode said in Feature Request – Two-Way Sync Between App and Watch (HR Zones, Pace, Power, Weight, etc.): @Mathis-.-Pct would also like to see it. I also wish there would be an option to restore settings from the app itself if you for example get a new watch - so you don’t loose custom sports, or don’t have to calibrate HRV ranges for two weeks again. A backup option would be surely welcome, all the data collected by the SA should be copied on a local storage or on the cloud.

@irisvik I think it’s a matter of worldview - in Finland saunas are more like a lifestyle, in other countries they’re like just another physical activity. If we have “Chores”, “Box breathing” and “Other” as a type of activity than adding “Sauna” acitivity would fit really well. From technical point of view i use Suunto Race i Sauna at it works just fine.

@Mathis-.-Pct If I wanted a running only plan, then I might look to something like the Stryd people, as that’s what they do, but that’s likely not as dynamic as you’d like.

These two sessions were from a few months ago, so before I had the Suunto. I’m using this to illustrate how power and cadence can operate differently in a session. This is two sessions both of 2km each. Both have four intervals of 500m where I go “easy, moderate, hard, easy”. In the first session I try to do this all at roughly the same cadence of 24-25spm for a total of 218 strokes. In the second I vary cadence along with power, so 22spm, 25spm, 28spm, then 20spm for a total of 219 strokes. [image: 1746310311849-picsew_20250503170701.jpeg] [image: 1746310320847-picsew_20250503170901.jpeg] The first session took 8m 57s averaging 146w while the second took 9m 16s averaging 135w. Now Suunto would likely give similar distance for these two sessions as they are roughly the same stroke count and the overall average cadence was about 24spm in both sessions, but the four intervals in each session are different! Whether or not it would say 2km doesn’t matter too much as that can be edited. What Suunto cannot do is show the power/watts graphs I show in these sessions, and would show a “constant speed” for both ignoring the different power fluctuations. Basically, you can make it so “totals” are right, but nuances of the session cannot be captured. People who do interval work like tabatas would understand the importance of seeing the overall power graphs of the session.

@Stefan-Kersting would truly be nice, although I would be more happy, if I would at least be able to share a video at all it does not work at all with the app on Android (Pixel 7 Pro), so enjsharing, while I listen to the music (and it would be nice to be able to change it, too) and watch a frozen track (after approx 3-5 seconds) until I can close the app …

For the last few days I’ve been researching Suunto versus some other companies. I decided to order a Race S but disappointed that it will not write Sleep to Apple Health. Additionally, I’d like it to write blood oxygen, respiratory rate, resting heart rate and HRV. The included screenshot is a chart I made comparing what other companies do in this area. This does not include all categories, as for example everyone does “steps” but I don’t care about that so left it off and some do “height” and “weight” etc. [image: 1743858388746-9921f3dc-4eee-4c28-ac72-002801bc6e96-image.png] My situation is I have an Apple Watch Series 7 that is starting to get worse with the battery (can only hold maximum 77%) and while I like the Apple Watch rather than replacing it with a new one I wanted to supplement it with a second device. My hope was to only wear the Suunto to sleep so the Apple Watch could be on the charger all night, then use both strategically throughout the day. I need to figure out a new strategy. Fortunately for Suunto, other options also suffered in one way or another and overall there were things from Suunto I wanted to explore like ZoneSense. I do hope Suunto improves export of data to the Apple Health system in the future.

@TrailEyes I would argue that Tennis and Padel are as similar as Frisbee and Disc golf but still they are different sports on my watch. Of course I can use Frisbee or ‘Unspecified Outdoor Sport’ but I think Disc golf is worthy of its own entry.

@The_77 said in Feature Request – Custom Date Range & Improved Auto-Categorization for Running Sessions: your set zones in Pace, HR & Power, so they need to be all up to date and accurate for it to work. Sadly they aren’t set in the app, but per Watch. So if you use RunGap to import older activities from lets say Garmin, you don’t have the correct zones.
