Suunto Wing won't charge

@Brad_Olwin @isazi hoping for some help here.
I have the same problem and tried to file a warranty claim, only for it to be rejected with the note that there is already an active claim for my ID…which I have no idea how that’s possible.
Can someone please confirm where the number is for the wing? The support website only shows watches.

Are you all sure that when the lights of the bank turns off the wing don’t continue to charge ? That’s the behaviour I have with mine. Lights of the powerbank and the wing are on at the beginning of charge, and the. turn off after few sec/min. But it charges.

Quite sure…I get no change in the battery on my wings. The only time the powerbank works is if I have it plugged in.

i don’t know the “wings” but some powerbanks are stopping to deliver current when it becomes below a certain threshhold. If wings are not needed that much current to be charged, it could be part of the explanation (or not )

I also have no experience of the Wings, but know through experience some power banks don’t work with some items. I have a bike light that will not charge from one power bank but charges fine from another make (Anker)
It could be worth trying another power bank.

@stromdiddily I had the same issue of power bank failure. I went into the website and filed a warranty claim, that allowed me to select the wing. There is a serial number you can find on the app. If you have done this and are getting the error, we can try to figure out how to alert someone at Suunto. Neither @isazi nor I have connections with service. The chat with support might help you

@Marius-Jacobsen-Eggerud same thing just happened on my wings. They die after 1h of running with 60 volume no less and normal mode (headshake enabled).
Put them on the battery pack the leds go off put them on charger they never turn off the leds. -
@EzioAuditore Reach out to Suunto. They replaced mine.

Got my replacement. Too bad I didn’t try charging it since it was charged to 98% so I started running. Today before long run in the morning I put it in the power bank to charge and the leds were on-cool I said it’s charging. After 2-3h the leds were still on so i said ok I’ll run my 3h run and see the level afterward. It turns out the replacement is not charging at all so I cannot turn them on anymore and only the leds are on

That’s pretty crap luck! I got my replacements back and so far they’re working like a charm. When it works, the power bank is a serious game changer compared to aftershokz or other competitor options

@stromdiddily yes I have terrible luck with both Wings and Vertical. Race and Ocean are great though (except of some minor SW related glitches). Will contact support again.
UPDATE: I hate how incompetent the ppl from support are. Me: My wing are not turning on and do not work. They: I will personally handle this, bla, bla.

Me: My problem was not resolved so what else will you help me with if you didn’t with the initial problem? -

Bad luck indeed…my wings are working awesomely well since beginning and I really love them for training.
About support chat, I used it last summer before sending my SV for repair. It took a while to have someone available on chat, but when he was ON, everything went well. -
@Tieutieu I got someone to talk quite fast but all I got as a response: we escalated your ticked and wait for feedback from the responsible team. What have they escalated and why I do not know. I told them that the replacement cannot turn on anymore, and resetting with the multifunctional button does not work. So here I am now waiting 5 days to be contacted by mail… What will this mail say except: return the headphones is beyond me
