Unable to pair 7 with Android phone
-
I’ve recently upgraded my phone and would like to sync my Suunto 7 to the new phone. The watch has some unsynced tracked activities that I don’t want to lose.
I’ve unpaired the watch from within Wear OS on the old phone. But now I’m unable to pair the watch with any phone. It’s invisible for both the old and the new phone, whether I’m trying to pair through Bluetooth settings, Wear OS or the Suunto app. And the watch doesn’t see either phone.
I’d hate to have to reset the watch because it would mean I lose the recent activities.
Has anyone had issues pairing? Any tips on how to solve this?
Thanks

Additional detail: in Settings->Connectivity->Bluetooth I still see the old phone (shows as Disconnected) and I have no way to remove it (taps and long presses do nothing). When I scan for devices, I see mac addresses (with no device identifiers), but none of those macs are my phones.

@alexey-shelestenko I would suggest resetting Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove any old Bluetooth connections.

@alexey-shelestenko When switching phones with a WearOS device you need to fully reset the watch. It’s a pain in the a$$ but it has always been this way.
You will only lose data since the last sync, so if you do a manual sync and then reset you won’t lose anything.
There is a workaround, but it requires use of ADB and I have had mixed results using it.
If you want to give it a try then instructions are here. -
@olymay Thanks. So far I’ve been unable to pair with the old phone. How do I manually sync the watch?

My understanding of the ADB switch is that you do not need the old phone. You should be able to use ADB on your PC and connect over WiFi to the watch IP address (or do it via USB cable).
Follow the instructions on the XDA developers website in the link I put, but if it doesn’t work then you will likely have to reset the watch.
