      @Ale9924 the watch already alerts you if you move during a pause

        @isazi Hi, thanks for the reply. I apologize if I’m asking for a feature that’s already available on the watch, but when I do my hiking sections, if I pause the watch, it doesn’t alert me that I’m walking without recording my activity. Is there a setting I haven’t noticed yet?
        I only saw that there’s an “autopause” feature, but it doesn’t work properly for this type of activity. If I walk over rocks or up a steep hill, walking slowly, the watch pauses my recording. However, when I’m taking a break, the watch randomly removes the pause.

        Thanks for the reply.

          The feature to alert you, you started moving again while your watch is still paused is there, but it’s not working very well. More often than not you do not get the alert.

          So, you don’t have a feature request but a bug report.

              @Ale9924 for me it works quite well, as well as for running, trail running and trekking. I am not sure but I think it is activated by standard.

                  working well here too. I would have to dig it up, but I think the alert is triggered by a certain speed. If you walk away slower, it will not alert you.

                    In my experience it’s not triggered by speed.

                    When I pause a hike activity I sometimes get an alert while I’m more or less stationary (having a drink) and other times (most of the time) I do not get an alert while I did continue my hike.

                      @elbee found it:
                      “if the speed is over 5.4km/h for 5s when paused, the notification appears”
                      (this is from when the feature was initially introduced in 2023
                      06/2025 Update had “Optimization of pause and resume movement reminders during sports” - not sure what changed then)

                      If it appears while actually being slower, maybe there is some GPS speed error due to bad reception…?

                        Speed is definitely taken into account – and not just the fact that you’re moving, but whether the speed is appropriate for the given activity.

                        Could it be a GPS inaccuracy?

                          I can only share my experiences. I sometimes get the notification when my speed is clearly under 5.4km/h and quite often I don’t get a notification when I walk faster than 5.4km/h. I live in the Netherlands, not a really challenging gnss surrounding. Current pase with gps isn’t the most accurate, but I sometimes continue to hike for over 500 meter and then gps should have a fairly accurate pace.
