Notify paused activities. [Suunto race - s]
-
Hi, this is my first time posting on the forum. I’d like to start with a fairly simple question (I think).
Problem: when you pause a workout to make a break, you forget to press play and start recording again. The automatic pause is not ok for hiking, it stops too often when you are moving and resumes activity when you are still stationary.
Solution: Make it possible for the watch to send a notification that you have forgotten about the paused activity, perhaps using GPS after x meters of walking “in the dark”.
Thank you.

@Ale9924 the watch already alerts you if you move during a pause

@isazi Hi, thanks for the reply. I apologize if I’m asking for a feature that’s already available on the watch, but when I do my hiking sections, if I pause the watch, it doesn’t alert me that I’m walking without recording my activity. Is there a setting I haven’t noticed yet?
I only saw that there’s an “autopause” feature, but it doesn’t work properly for this type of activity. If I walk over rocks or up a steep hill, walking slowly, the watch pauses my recording. However, when I’m taking a break, the watch randomly removes the pause.Thanks for the reply.

The feature to alert you, you started moving again while your watch is still paused is there, but it’s not working very well. More often than not you do not get the alert.
So, you don’t have a feature request but a bug report.

@elbee Thanks for the explanation

@Ale9924 for me it works quite well, as well as for running, trail running and trekking. I am not sure but I think it is activated by standard.
