How are so many basic features missing? Are these on the roadmap?
-
You seem to contradict yourself.
You say you find quality important, yet you demand more and more features delivered faster and faster.
(And no, I have no use for a tide function on my watch. And I don’t think it’s a benefit to have an unused function on my watch. I do know, resources spend on a tide function cannot be spend on improving software quality)

What if the watch gave an audible alert every hour, like Casio watches? I’m just thinking out loud…
-
@elbee I don’t understand that? What does design and processing have to do with slow software development?
-
Software has also a quality component. Creating high quality software takes time.
-
@elbee He said it would be ok to have slower development times if you get better quality and more stable software than others. But thats not the case

He said “ Nevertheless, I miss the innovation and rapid development of, for example, Coros. Also, I would just like more and faster development in the app.”
I read that as wanting more and faster.

@elbee Well, the forum is full of crashes, black grid, etc. In my opinion, the processing quality is significantly higher than the software development… only how long should that last… I have quite understood that everyone has their requirements and preferences. But I can’t say that due to the much slower software development and the smaller range of functions, the watch works much more stable than with Garmin or Coros etc. For me, the watch design is really outstanding… but the software and the range of functions are stagnant.
-
@elbee I’m sorry, English is not my native language. I distinguish between the great workmanship of the watch and the great design as well as the in my opinion stagnant software development.

No problem. English isn’t my native language either.
I’m a software developer so I see software development as craftsmanship.
I understand that it is easy to demand more features and wanting them now. We also demand stable firmware that doesn’t crash nor has bugs.
But in software it’s next to impossible to do both.(And sadly, now I’m going to report a bug again)
-
@elbee
slower development and fewer bugs is always preferred.
or let’s say: slower development and in general more complete and matured firmware, software, features…(…still don’t understand how my windows laptop takes ages to connect to the one single connected headphones while my mac just connects when I take them off the charger
