absolutely. we can always give feedback and answer surveys.
I do this frequently but frankly speaking, suunto has their ideas.
some of your feedback is being asked for for many years from different people.
it’s up to suunto to listen and implement. bit we will never know when or if they add a feature

I have changed from garmin to suunto about 9 years ago because I found the web page so much better and movescount allowed my to check my vertical speed in meters per hour and such things.

I have used the fenix 3 back then and changed to an ambit 3 peak.
after only few years suunto announced the shut down of the fantastic website and app movescount and offered the suunto app on the phone instead…
it was a real pain in the ass back then, especially the lacking support for ambit series and I definitely didn’t want to buy a spartan.

what to do? go back to garmin?

now being on the suunto app for 7 years, we still don’t have the meter per hour ascent rate value…
and watches being released recently all have the blinding bright or dead black amoled display that I don’t like.
again, moving back to garmin? enduro 3 or soon 4? or coros apex 4? they have a mip display at least…
and the rest… a line on the map, a curve in the HR chart and probably some indication wether you are improving or not.
and the rest is, as said, a compromise and a decision based on preference and taste 🙂

@pbanon Different people have different needs. If you ask me, none of what you listed is important to me, and if I wrote a list of top improvements that I want, it would be completely different, and it is likely that you won’t care about what I want.

From your list I only care some about the button customization. But with only 3 buttons, there isn’t much that can be done because all of them are used for essential watch functions. But perhaps it could be nice in some situations to disable laps and instead use the bottom button to switch the lower field instead - what we currently do by tapping the screen on the map screen and the elevation profile. That would be equivalent to the “View” button on Ambit and allow to disable the touch completely. I’d use that for ultramarathon running.

Suunto: Ambit, Ambit 3 Peak, 9 Baro, Race S, Race Ti, Vertical 2 Ti
Garmin: Forerunner 210, Forerunner 610, Fenix 6X, Fenix 7X Ti

@pbanon So I find the contribution quite justified. I really find the further development of the software very slow compared to many others. and you can’t even say that the watch runs super stable. Everyone has different demands and wishes, that’s true. In my case it is the design and quality of the watch. Nevertheless, I miss the innovation and rapid development of, for example, Coros. Also, I would just like more and faster development in the app. Crashes and errors also have other manufacturers on it I do not want to ride around at all. only they also have significantly more functions and or development… what is e.g. with the tide widget of the Ocean… why not also on Race or Vertical? That would have been a sign. certainly not everyone needs it… but having is better than needing 🙂 . This is also progress.

…slow development… I think we can not ignore this fact away…
it took us 4 years to get a lock function in watch mode to prevent accidental button press

I’d like to see some accessibility function such as increasing text size for system messages and watch face complications. Something like the Widget menu font sizes. The Athletic watch face would be better for me if the time was smaller but the complications larger.

Also some further complication options with the Vertical 2 and Race 2 watch faces which I think are their best.

And yes a brightness (stepped) option for the watch face flashlight, and a red mode would be welcome.

                  You seem to contradict yourself.

You say you find quality important, yet you demand more and more features delivered faster and faster.

(And no, I have no use for a tide function on my watch. And I don’t think it’s a benefit to have an unused function on my watch. I do know, resources spend on a tide function cannot be spend on improving software quality)

What if the watch gave an audible alert every hour, like Casio watches? I’m just thinking out loud…

@elbee I don’t understand that? What does design and processing have to do with slow software development?

Software has also a quality component. Creating high quality software takes time.

@elbee He said it would be ok to have slower development times if you get better quality and more stable software than others. But thats not the case

@elbee Well, the forum is full of crashes, black grid, etc. In my opinion, the processing quality is significantly higher than the software development… only how long should that last… I have quite understood that everyone has their requirements and preferences. But I can’t say that due to the much slower software development and the smaller range of functions, the watch works much more stable than with Garmin or Coros etc. For me, the watch design is really outstanding… but the software and the range of functions are stagnant.

@elbee I’m sorry, English is not my native language. I distinguish between the great workmanship of the watch and the great design as well as the in my opinion stagnant software development.
