This is what a great update looks like šŸ‘
You can actually feel the difference—well done, team.
But… did you forget to add 2–3 new watch faces? šŸ˜‰

-Suunto 9 Baro Titanium (The Iron Survivor)
-Suunto 9 Peak Pro (The Silent Feather)
-Suunto Vertical Titanium Solar (The Sun Drinker)
-Suunto Race Titanium (The Gleaming Phantom)
-Suunto Race2 Titanium (The Velvet Edge)

Has anyone noticed a change in battery consumption - Vertical 2 with the new display (the one that came out with the limited edition) a drop of about 8% battery at night?

@Danny-poleg Race S. With the previous firmware version, I had battery drain. With the latest version, using the default WF, HRV, DND, barely 3% in almost 12 hours (19PM - 5AM)

Race s. Had it on the charging to update maps. Yesterday at 4 in the afternoon it was 100% charged when I took it of the charger. Now 8:30 next morning, it’s on 91%. No always on display, no bloodoxygen. Do have sleeptracking (but only because that is required to measure hrv). Dnd from 21:45 to 7:00.

Just as ā€œbadā€ as the previous firmware.

quite puzzling there’s such a difference (forgot to mention that wireless & discovery were off as well)

HR recovery works perfectly fine. Tested after a bike ride (sensations are asked after test is performed)

I’m wondering if I have to stop the activity and wait for the HR recovery, or if it is performed automatically as the effort decreases

Yes, you need to end the activity for the 1min test.
For insights during the activity, you can add the HR slope datafield to your sport mode and check the data during your activity. In the latter case it will just not be a fixed 1min test.

@Stefano-M64 You need to end activity and it automatically shows up if you were in Z2 and above.I have tried 2 times, one in after steady (Z3) run and once after recovery run(Z1), it showed up only after the first one.

yesterday I tried the new metric HRR recovery and for me I can say that it works well. I ended up in zone 4 and the activity had to be saved. I am attaching photos. I also turned on the heart rate broadcast, since I was on the treadmill at the gym, but it did not work at all and the heart rate was not displayed on the treadmill1000023528.png 1000023527.png

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Huge thank you for adding the Heart rate broadcast function. Works flawless with my HOI TOUR ergometer. Now I can use my Suunto as the only wearable.

Did I miss something, or is the announcement only talking about features and not about fixed bugs? I mean, is there a list of bugs that has been fixed?

Ciao io ho attivato HRR (Heart Rate Recovery). Ho fatto una corsa 7km in Z2 e Z3. Finita la corsa ho salvato, ma non ho visto nulla. Sai dirmi qualcosa? Grazie

Is there any official description how you have to behave during the 1 minute rest time to get an accurate interpretation of the result and where can I find it?
So do you have to stand still or sit down or continue with slow walking?
Cause the amount of HR decline during this 1 minute is completely depending on what you do during the 1 minute and therefore there needs to be a description how to use it!

@brave_dave I guess it is up to you, since it looks at the trends and it is probably quite personal. So if you do it always while walking should represent it anyway, if you do it always standing still it should represent the trend also. As I understand it, it is not super scientific, it is just to see how good you heart is recovering in comparison to similar efforts before.

@brave_dave After run I usually walk and during this time I measure the HRR. Except if I run Easy run so never leave zone 1 in which case the HRR will not work. I do not think sitting vs walking will make much difference in the HR. I find myself recovering much faster if I walk than to abruptly stop šŸ™‚
