Suunto Vertical: Bug Collection
-
@BrunoH so i followed the resources a little bit more and as I can tell there are no tweaks made by Suunto that have changed it for me. It still goes up to 99 every morning no matter what I do. But since Suunto is not using their algorithm in their new watches after the vertical a suspect it will never change and it is what it is.

@Artus-Diver Hello Artus, for your information, since I added the 1km autolap when I swim with my Suunto Vertical I no longer have any problems with inconsistent durations in my swimming sessions. I also find that the stroke detection is slightly better. Is it better on your side?

Hey all,
When using other sports outdoor (sport non précisé outdoor), the elevation recorded by the watch is very unstable.
For example, from yesterday hike which was 3km with 250m d+, watch give me more than 800m of d+.This has been observed with other activities.
When using Hiking sport mode, elevation is spot on.
Why is the elevation not correct when using other sports outdoor ?

Just had the new firmware update and since then, I have a quick black screen of around 1 sec before showing activities when pressing the up button from the watch.

@darxmurf
It’s related to the watch face, when you are waking the watch up.
Some have this glitch.
https://forum.suunto.com/topic/14081/lag-black-screen-on-k14-marine-compass-wake-up-after-2.48.16-update/9I’m using the good’ol “classic analog” and it works normally

@sartoric thanks for the info. Waiting for a fix then

The last two updates were happening against my will. I have automatic updates turned off, and I always check because every subsequent update turns it back on. Has anyone else experienced a similar incident?
-
@Ars-Vitae yes, everyone, it seems that the feature is broken since many months (years ?), and you’re not the first one to report it here.
but Suunto seems to have this in the lowest priority bugfix -
Today I ran “out and back”. At the end of “out” I stopped for 40 minutes. I paused the activity, to save the battery I switched the battery mode to Tour mode. After the stop I switched the battery mode back to Endurance mode and ran back.
All data off the activity is correct: Distance, Times, Elevation profile, Pace etc. But the gps track shows the “out” part only, not the “back” part.

Is there another issue with sleep tracking? This morning, it showed 6 hours. After syncing with my phone, it recorded 3:36 and continues to display that. This is the second such error (or rather, data deletion) since the new update. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Something else may need to be configured?

All the watch faces have disappeared from my V1.
When I go to Suunto plus store and try to install the athletic watch face it says it’s installed. When I go in the menu of the watch it says no other watch faces but the default V1 watch face. Syncing the watch to the app doesn’t solve the issue for the time being. -
@Highlands Same here. There are a couple other reports on the forum regarding this and similar behavior. Some people have empty watch face icons in the Suunto App (but I think they still have the faces on the watch?). Like you, all of my custom watch faces were deleted on both my V1 and 9PP and cannot be reinstalled. I think there might be something broken with SuuntoPlus. Hopefully gets resolved soon.

@Highlands No issues with my V1 at the moment.
Try again after 24 hrs. I’ve seen similar behavior with just one watchface. According to the app it was installed, but the watch never showed me.
The day after, suddenly the installed watchface was shown in the app.
