Battery drain after update 2.44.46 (2025 Q3) on Vertical Watch
-
@sky-runner today I went on a run with my wife. We both have Suunto watches, we both have Coros HRMs, we both had issues to get them to work. I had for example had it paired, it didn’t connect. I tried multiple things, selecting it in the activity menu as source, nothing. I had to delete/unpair the second HR monitor I had paired with the watch and only then I was somehow able to get it to work. I spend like 15 minutes before my run fiddling with it and was super annoyed. My wife lost patience and has left it in the car… This was a test of my patience today. I am fed up, really.

I wanted to emphasize that the problem is not with the Coros HRM. I was using only Coros HRM for months before with zero issues. I didn’t bother switching HRMs before because it was too annoying to unpair and pair sensor, but now with this “improvement” it doesn’t really work either. The only improvement, really, is that I can see the Coros HRM battery level.

@sky-runner @Miroslava yes it’s independent of the brand and type itself. It’s a general issue.
-
Yep during activity the battery remain is still like it use to be it’s just during the day night when the battery consumption has increased significantly
-
I think battery consumption has increased since the update on my Race too. It use to be 5% now it’s more like 12% per day without activity recording.
-
@sky-runner Start a dedicated thread with this. Clearly there are issues although with my sensors I have not had this problem. I think a dedicated thread will help with fixes.

My suunto vertical went through another 10% battery in last 24 hours with no activity recorded from 65-55% will try hard reset today
-
@gone-troppo
just let it discharge fully (battery icon) then recharge.
maybe it just need to calibrate -

maybe it just need to calibrateAlready tried that didn’t work. Have tried every single thing I have seen recommended on this forum and on the fb groups nothing has worked so I just did hard reset as last resort what a pain.

Hello,
I have noticed as well a significant reduction in the battery life of my Suunto Vertical between April and today. This happened without any changes to my watch settings (notifications off, daily HR on).
While previously the battery could last much longer: fully charged the 16/4 was 70% the 23/4 (8 days).
Now full charged the 04/09 today is already 74% (4 days). -
@gone-troppo
just remember that after the hard reset a calibration is basically neededI’m at 51% after 10 days, and I have increased training time (GPS) in the last weeks, so it looks pretty ok to me.
I usually charge it after 20/21 days when it gets to 15/20 % -
To summarize: 50 % has problem, 50 % don’t.

So, it is not a bug. It is a half-bug.

Half-bug, half-feature.

Battery drain here too. Charged Sunday 20.00 from completely dead to 99 % with running of 20 minutes. Monday 12.00 already down at 92 %. 8 % loss after 16 hours!!! I have just 24/7 OHR on. Nothing else, no notifications etc.

@Stefan-Kersting
Do you use external sensors? -
@Stefan-Kersting same same!
-
@jjpaz hr belt but that have I used before too
-
Now I lost 2 % in 4,5 hours
