      Hello
I can’t configure multi sports mode on my SV. I don’t have step counter when I use Interval training.
I use an android smartphone. The app version is 6.0.2
      Is it normal ?

Update successfully installed on the vertical. I had lost at least one sport mode with every update, this time I guess I was lucky 😅
None of the things mentioned were deleted. I love the map download without cable and it works great.

No need for this. Select Breadcrumb from the menu to end navigation when exercising. This is the default behavior for an exercise without a route.

Thanks, but that isn’t intuitive at all. Yesterday I diverted from my original route when riding a bike because I needed to get home sooner. I spent a bunch of time trying to get rid of that yellow “OFF ROUTE” banner that covered the bottom of the screen and couldn’t figure how to do that even though I consider myself a fairly advanced user.

Please pass this feedback to whoever is in charge of this feature!

I had several issues with the update - 1st time I have had any with having the watch nearly 2 years.

Watch lost custom modes and was hard reset.
Black grid, I am currently on a bike tour in Norway. If I zoomed out to 1km I could see map but zooming in had black screen. Worked for first 20km then never came back for the next 100k. I could see breadcrumbs fine.
When autopause the autopause didn’t blink so you could read distance to next waypoint. Hope that makes sense.
Climb guidance looks good showing waypoints and colours. I did find it hard to see where I was on the graph.
On the graph when autopaused the ± buttons didn’t work as the screen showed the autopause icon.

I have done a soft reset and I’ll see how it works tomorrow.

Thank you for the update. Some nice functions added.

@Audaxjoe Is it right that only Android users have this problems.
On my vertical and a friends one there are absolutely no problem with the new software.
Both we have the vertical and iOS App.

@Kaiphi Watch successfully updated here 👍
I also used to lose one sport mode with previous updates, but this time they were all kept like all other settings. Maybe I am also lucky 🙂

Edit: my smartphone runs Android 10

@pavel.samokha first bike ride with Suunto Race after this sw update.

I am using Assioma Uno power meter and have some weird power related statistics in the Suunto app (and also in the watch).

I have dual recorded the ride with Wahoo Roam v3 so I have reference for the power data.

As can be seen below in the power vs HR curve, there is only power data for the first 22 minutes of the 2.5h ride. The average power (with zeros) is an obvious wrong power of only 24 watts. Also normalized power and more crucially the power-based TSS is vastly underestimated The average power (with zeros) recorded on the Wahoo is 188 watts which is correct.

I hope this is a one-off glitch and that the power meter recording is not fully broken 🤞Anyone else with similar issue?

@Sportsfreund I am on Android. Also trying to download a map and it is stuck in a loop. 5ghz super fast hotel WiFi. I have heard people say this can be an issue. Not much I can do about it in holiday 🤷🏻‍♂️

App keeps telling me to attach to charger. I have done now, but still no change, just says map waiting to download.

And the watch is actually connected to this network? 🤔
I thought only 2.4 GHz is supported.

@Squirrel I had heard that it only works with 2.4. Which makes me think the 5g is the problem. Obviously I can’t alter this on a hotel WiFi. I have tried turning phone into a hotspot but no difference.

It the App that needs to be connected? I don’t think the watch has settings for WiFi? Or am I missing a setting. I have never had issues downloading maps before.

                          • Connect your phone to hotel WiFi, unless you have enough/unlimited mobile data

                          • On your phone enable hotspot, 2.4 GHz, simple password, enable WiFi sharing to bypass mobile data (unless using mobile data OK, as mentioned above)

                          • WiFi is setup through the Suunto app. Watch icon>[…]>Wireless networks

                          • Add your active hotspot as a new network

                          • Download maps

I wanted to expand on my previous comment about climb guidance 2.0. I tried controlling the elevation profile by creating a bunch of waypoints at highest and lowest points along the route. In addition to that I had POIs for good water sources along the route. Since I returned on the same path, I doubled all my waypoints. However during the actual navigation that didn’t work as expected because a number of waypoints that I had on the return part of the route got moved to the first part of the route. Because of that I couldn’t see the elevation profile the way I hoped. Also, zooming of the profile didn’t work quite as expected because in some places I ended up having two waypoints at the same location and distance and where the profile was supposed to show 4 waypoints it showed only 2 or 3.

This is further discussed in the following post:
