I had the same issue. Restarting both my SR and Sony Xperia 5iii helped to solve it. Now Iām able to control music via SR again. -
@VladoD Itās some kind of problem with music permissions on your phone.
I guess this problem started after one of the SuuntoApp or Android updates.
Restoring these settings for SuuntoApp or restarting the phone helps. -

Same problem here. I thought the other day I had understood why it was greyedā¦ But itās actually apparently not the only factor.
For sure one factor: you canāt have your watch in āEcoā mode.
But for few days now I canāt control media anymore even without that the ECO mode active.

A phone (Samsung S23) restart has fixed the situation this morning for me.

Iāve noticed the same issue several times, I agree that itās something related to the app (Iām on Android with a pixel 7).
For what itās worth, the fastest work-around Iāve found is to long press on the Suunto app to bring up itās system options, select app info and then force stop the app and re-open it. That seems to resolve the issue and takes less time than restarting your phone.

long tap app-> info -> permissions (calls, notifications, cameraā¦media control) -
