Media controls not working
-
I’m having problems with my media controls since the last update. I can see what’s playing, but I can’t use the controls neither with the touch screen nor with the buttons. I already tried unparing my watch and paring it again. Anyone has the same problem?

@verocoboc what mobile phone?
-
Have exactly the same problem now, though it used to work well before.
Using Suunto 9 Peak Pro with Samsung Galaxy A52. -
@vlad86 have you tried to restart your phone and watch?
-
@pavel-samokha great hint.
I had the same issue. Restarting both my SR and Sony Xperia 5iii helped to solve it. Now I’m able to control music via SR again. -
@VladoD It’s some kind of problem with music permissions on your phone.
I guess this problem started after one of the SuuntoApp or Android updates.
Restoring these settings for SuuntoApp or restarting the phone helps. -

Same problem here. I thought the other day I had understood why it was greyed… But it’s actually apparently not the only factor.
For sure one factor: you can’t have your watch in “Eco” mode.
But for few days now I can’t control media anymore even without that the ECO mode active.

A phone (Samsung S23) restart has fixed the situation this morning for me.

I’ve noticed the same issue several times, I agree that it’s something related to the app (I’m on Android with a pixel 7).
For what it’s worth, the fastest work-around I’ve found is to long press on the Suunto app to bring up it’s system options, select app info and then force stop the app and re-open it. That seems to resolve the issue and takes less time than restarting your phone.
