@Ryan-Kruger, The watch statistics are correct. See the manual: [image: 1732937788027-1000185787.png] In fact you want a new fearure, “statistics on the logbook”. It would be nice. Suunto could provide us with this feature in the next update.

@Flops my friend we are talking about different stuff… I refer to freediving path being on the surface. Swimming from spot to spot. A 2d path on the map. And you refer to underwater 3d path. Being Underwater obviously you cannot take your hand out of the water, right? Please read again my post.

@Arju-Ambin, No worries! I checked everything. After restarting, enabling “Do Not Disturb,” then disabling it, the watch is back to working as expected. It was probably just a temporary software bug. Thank you.

@aquanaut said in New firmware suggestions for Ocean watch: If you have the chance, take a look as how garmin implemented their solution. I like it very much, and would like to have that in my ocean. I have an Epix Pro Actually I made a suggestion for that a while ago. I still stand by what I said ago: Just update the list as it is used and just keep the last 10 or so timers. That would be even better than what Garmin does. https://forum.suunto.com/topic/12491/modify-list-of-predefined-timers

~UPDATE~ After about 4 days which I’m guessing it is after 100h of surface time, the complications finally changed to what they were suppose to be, and accepted to be customized. This will need more testing, but I’m guessing this means after a dive, a few of the watch faces are forced to show Surface Time for 100h.

@Brad_Olwin, @far-blue thanks for your answers…! Good to hear that it must be possible! I’ll dig around a little bit and try connecting the phone to the car without a connection to the Ocean… I think, I should manage to set things up. Thanks, Frank

Thank you very much guys ! So if i understand correctly it does automatically do the alarm if the ascent is “critical” I’ve try it again today, i got the red arrow but no vibration or sound (very shallow area after safety stop) The one i’ve tried (it wasn’t suunto, just that i liked the settings) was vibrating just if you were ascending too fast (like orange/beginning of red for the SO i would say) Thank you again for your replies Have a great day Yohann

@Bernhard-Höller I wonder if the deco label comes from the safety stop when ascending? Just like any cycling activity from point A to point B is automatically labeled as “functional exercise” or whatever might be the correct term for cycling to grocery store instead of driving a car. The same label doesn’t appear when I start and stop at the same spot. Or it might as well be a real bug… There are very few scuba divers in this forum, so you’d better get your confirmation from the Support. I used to dive with the good ol’ Suunto Vyper back in the yesteryears… Then I was diagnosed with epilepsy and all I can do is a little light snorkeling these days.

@benedikt76 I couldn’t agree more with you. If all (or better most of all) agreed on 3 minutes at 5 mtrs, why isn’t it possible to adjust this in my Eon!? This has got nothing to do with Haldane’s tables. When I first started diving (1976) the ascent and descent speed was 18 mtrs/min. Nowadays it’s 9/10 mtrs. So if thais van change overtime in a divingcomputer, why can I not change my safety stop parameters into 3 minutes at 5 mtrs? It makes perfectly good sence.

what also works is reading the manual. First pages cover the buttons: https://www.suunto.com/Support/Product-support/suunto_ocean/suunto_ocean/getting-started/touch-screen-and-buttons/

@simon-whittaker, Check Bluetooth and wi-fi connections with phone and watch, then check your phone permissions. If necessary disable data and power savings.

Suunto Zoop dive computer uses the Reduced Gradient Bubble Model (RGBM) algorithm to calculate decompression, while Suunto Ocean is using Suunto’s Bühlmann 16 GF dive algorithm that is based on the Bühlmann ZHL-16C model. You must set GF factors in your Ocean to have a NDL close to Zoop. However I don’t believe will be possible to get the same results.

Hi again! So I present you my two new Suunto straps (waiting for Suunto to launch something officially compatible). They are rubber, thin and comfortable. [image: 20241108-121734.jpg] [image: 20241108-121734.jpg] [image: 20241104-190318.jpg] [image: 20241104-190137.jpg] [image: 20241104-190118.jpg] [image: 20241104-164623.jpg] [image: 20241104-164353.jpg] [image: 20241104-164340.jpg] [image: 20241104-164626.jpg] [image: 20241104-164653.jpg] As you can see, the short strap has the hole for the sensor to work, and the long strap is intended for diving use, so it has no hole and also has the 5 rings to properly secure the watch. What do you think? As additional security, in one of the rings would go a small line and a bunguee.
