I had the same problem after approx 18 months of usage, screen burnt in and was getting hard to read out with white/light backgrounds. Like some other contributors, I do not use a lot the screen during my activities (screen off 95% of the time). Suunto reparied/replaced the screen during warranty end of 2022. However, the screen has again burnt in and again the watch starts to be quite unusefull… i think it’s more of a design problem and the choice of this amoled screen seems not to correspond to the high Suunto standards…(I own also a Suunto Core from the nineties…yes last millenium, which still operates perfectly). I’m thinking chaning the watch, still I lost some confidence in Suunto flawless quality, and have some doubts on amoled technology.

I would like to have Suunto Plus Guides, Suunto Plus functions… external sensors, auto pause, set the zones of pace, hr, power… I love the s7 but there is space for new features and features request for the watch.

@jorgefd78 said in S7: Why is it thinking it's off wrist?: perhap switch off alarma is a little bit tricky… but ok at the moment Wanted to mention switching off the alarm – the whole pull up notifications, expand the alarm, and stuff, but then realized this would have been done regardless if you use Theater mode. And you probably want to use Theater mode because as good as S7 is at detecting tilt, moving your hand accidentally at night and flooding the room with that bright AMOLED white isn’t optimal Better to hunt notifications to shut off the buzzer. Another thing for El Goog to think as far as usability is concerned. There has to be an a way to return control to the apps like alarm as opposed to the watch face when theater mode is exited.

@biel-oliver said in Suunto 7 not updating (it's new and came with 210.001.A2): looking for other brands with tech support good luck with that… I have never experienced better support than from Suunto. But I have experienced inexistent support from other brand and I was patient for almost 2 years with them.

Pressure aside, the Suunto 7 is not a diving watch nor a diving computer, and I would not trust my life to it.

@дима-мельниченко you shouldn’t to wait, the routes transferred over straight away for me. As in, i click save on desktop, unlock phone and opwn Suunto App and the routes are there. It’s genuinely amazing how fast it is. I love plotaroute! Simply love it! But getting routes across to Sunnto is a bit of a faff - download the gpx file to my desktop, upload to Google Drive, open Suunto App on phone, upload gpx file in from Google Drive. It’s a first world problem, but it’s more of a faff than the Komoot auto sync. However, The ease of the Komoot auto sync is undone somewhat by the sheer insane amount of waypoints it plots! I get having a waypoint where there is a change in direction, but when I run past a turning I do not need a waypoint telling me to “Continue Straight” as I will do that until told otherwise. So the time I save by using the auto sync is completely undone by having to remove roughly 80% of the auto generated waypoints. Again, this is all first world problems and either of these options are still better (for me) than creating a route within the Suunto App on the phone.

@aleksander-h I suspected the TYM app and this just adds to that. I also found the Spotify app also chewed through battery.

Did the initial company statement specify whose “satisfaction” would be “guaranteed”? I imagine Suunto enjoy making sales.

My sync with iOS depends. Sometimes is lightning fast and sometimes I have to remember to open the app for it to download the workout.

For 2 nights in a row for some reason the battery has been draining 45%. Looks like Bluetooth is consuming a lot. After both nights the consumption has calmed down to normal so something is going on during the night. I’m tracking sleep with Sleep as Android but it has been ok before. @Kai-Liu said in How do I tell current temperature in Suunto 7?: @Egika is it accurate for you? It says 30C but the room temperature should be 26C. I guess because the watch itself is generating heat, and the sensor fail to compensate for that. This temperature information is the battery temp of the watch. It might be a little above ambient - especially during charging… So maybe it is not the best idea to rely on the data (have yet to try in water)
