@ey1972 thanks to all responders. i was thinking of something simple. not requiring me to manually combine anything. i agree that the app is the better place to do it. you can simply mark the logged activities and unify them into one “adventure”. this way you can combine even different sports. i also agree that it should not be done by pausing the activity in the watch. let me finish the day’s walk, start fresh the next day, but give me a simple UI to unify them later own or on the go in the app.

Thanks @2b2bff , @TonyG for your sharing your experience! In my particular case, since swimming is just a complimentary activity and hence my swimming technique is rather poor, I didn’t had the elements to say if the hit or miss of style identification was my fault or not. So, first step: improve technique . Going back to the opening question: I understand there’s no reason for the Garmin Swim unless you’re specifically targeting to have the extra analysis that Suuntos may lack of. Or… look for an Ambit . And thanks @TonyG for the tip on having laps better captured: solid push + glide it goes. Cheers!

@Egika It disappears now when the touchscreen becomes inactive. It used to remain on the screen all the time.

I have the S5 and suspected the HR readings no to be very accurate, as I was running my favourite tracks. So I made a reference run with my FR935 and chest belt. I did not trust my eyes what I have seen. And the device was tightly bound to the skin a properly positioned. I mean, we do not talk about “inaccurate” data, we talk about phantasy data. OHR is not meant to replace the chest belt, but to provide at least meaningful HR readings, in particular for the 7x24h activity tracking. But sorry, these figures are far beyond any limits. And they want to derive some fitness and recovery data from that ? S5 [image: 1564088510328-screenshot_20190715-203001_suunto.jpg] FR 935 [image: 1564088546834-screenshot_20190715-203024_connect.jpg]

@Mff73 said in How to erase Clock routes?: @Brad_Olwin Maybe. The question is : do one want to wait that watch is full of SA routes, or find a workaround to delete MC routes in watch ? Did not know if this was Android or iOS. Will this work on iOS?

I agree that it would be cool to see. Maybe some kind of marker or so on the HR graph in SA. But I personally tend to wear my watch loose when not working out and considering weight of the unit and not the most reliable valencell sensor and no continuous measurement (only each 12min or so), it’s probably more likely that each deviation in HR graph is an error that an indication of heart problem. And during activity it’s probably even more so the case, since active arm movement tends to make my graph pretty noisy, for HR strap also. I thought apple had specific technology to provide this feature and for a “heart scan” you should stay still and they say themselves that one shouldn’t rely on this measurement and visit a doctor.

I have bought my Ambit 3 Peak from Amazon UK (before Brexit). Great value, 225GBP in 2018. It was sold as new and it arrived as new too. Didn’t have any issues.

One thing about that watch face, is that if you’re using the paid version, the “modules” at the top and bottom (I beleive both, I don’t really remember if it’s both) actually change every few seconds. That’s a battery killer. The name is “Sun” on Connect IQ if anyone’s interested, it looks a lot like the Suunto one, but not exact. I didn’t like it.

@Марко-Ѓуричиќ I have a SSU and I have it in automatic, I haven’t seen any strange behavior. In fact some of my runs are in the same trails that my rides in MTB where I use a Sigma GPS with baro and values match within a few meters. If I’m not mistaken (somebody can correct me), depending on the sports mode that you are then you have one or another mode. I mean, for trail running the watch sets itself to altimeter, but maybe I got it wrong.

@morskilav I see your point but I do disagree. I have stated this before, the FB features on the S5 require additional screens and I simply don’t want those, nor would I use the FB features much. Perhaps a good solution would be for Suunto to offer the FB licensing as an option when purchasing the watch. That way we would both be happy.
