@geoffspakes touchscreen is not the best choice when it rains. For races and interval training button is the only option. I moved from Vivoactive 2 (it died in pool) to Spartan Sport. I almost not using buttons.

@whl_89 Costumers arent changing Brands because of better hardware but because of Software, connection to other services (Suunto app should be able to read and write workouts from platforms Like trainingpeaks for example otherwise the daily calories and the Training log are nonsense btw)and not bring up features which are not as difficult to bring to life. This is the plan. We are bringing you power charts (next android version) and laps+intervals (next iOS version). REgarding connected services there is were we are targeting. Cannot share more though.

@Antonino-Cutugno what sailing features are you looking for? I noticed the Ambit and especially the S9 are missing some fundamentals like heading, bearing, course and VMG. Those fields are available in the Garmin watch @TELE-HO posted. But the watch is also twice the price of an s9

@andreatraverseas said in Quale nuovo orologio oggi: Is there a watch today that has maps and trails already built in without using a PC? Suunto 7 is the only watch with map at the moment. All the others need the phone app to create a new route

@wakarimasen the s9p has carrousel with great readability. In my case I use one screen with 7 data fields for average and data I don’t need in the moment, and I use the four data field screen and carrousel combo and works good for me.

@BinoWorld-UK Unlikely for you to hit max HR in a workout, it is Max after all. I typically take my highest HR for the year and add 3-5 beats to set my max. BTW, to set my zones properly on the S7 I have to set about 10 beats above my max. I know my Aerobic and Anaerobic from testing.

@surfboomerang, thanks for the insight. I think for me, minus having a marine chart on my wrist I’d be looking for some sailing specifics, like timers, I’d love to be able to create an offshore route to sail, Speed Over Ground, Wind speeds and direction, something like tack assist. Beyond the marine specifics I think Suunto does everything I have now and really want.

@johann-fuehrer said in Where is the Suunto Watch Forum?: I’m running circles to find out i.e. how to get rid of notifications I have read on my new Suunto 9 BARO? You are not alone…as of now there is no way to get rid of them from watch itself. You can do it from your phone by dismissing the notification there, and then well there are still zombie notifications (for me at least, unless you can soft reset your watch fairly regularly)… Here is one: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/2111/would-love-a-way-to-dismiss-notifications And for zombie notifications: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/858/notification-center-zombie-notifications/107
