What do you expect from the next update?

@Fizzgig said in What do you expect from the next update?:
New Suunto user for 6 weeks now with training/competition oriented use running, trail running (+ cycling for cross training) I would like an update for:
- The resolution of the one day shift of TSB, CTL, TSS
- During complex training, obtain 2 or 3 beeps announcing the end of the stage and the change of exercise to come (example 10x400m at VMA)
- Get an alert outside target areas
- An update of the HR data from the watch sensor (it gets carried away very quickly in daily monitoring use)
Countdown for the end of a step during a structured workout has been missing for a while and would be a very useful add.
-
@stromdiddily and also the repet counter which is also missed a lot !
-
@stromdiddily Agree with all of the above. I hope that the wrist HRM accuracy can be improved.
I might add support for more than one paired BT sensor of any type (e.g. heart rate monitor). I have more than one strap that I use, and I’m sure that people have multiple power meters as well.
Edit: Also would like to increase the number of routes that can be stored on the watch. I am having to manage this more than I’d like, and the Suunto app doesn’t have a good way to filter/show all the routes on the watch, without having to page through all of them.
But number one for me would be to fix the wrist HR estimates.
-
To get around this, I use interval in basic race mode (ex 10x30/30 at a given pace)
you have the indication of the repetitions. -
@Fizzgig waiting for this as well… in particularly 1 and 4

Here’s a little something I’d like to see from the next update. I like the Vertical watchface. But I would be happy if I could freely change all the data that is to be displayed. For example, I would like to see the weather on the left and the date on the right. I just can’t combine the two. Those readings can only be selected on the left side. But I don’t understand why there’s an altitude. The altitude is already on the watchface.

@Pavlas
your photo is better than mine , but your idea is as good as https://forum.suunto.com/topic/8279/choosable-fields-on-watch-faceI thought of it with my old S9PP, but now, “lots” of SuuntoWatches are sharing the same FW basics, S9PP/Vertical/Race (S9P ?, etc…) may benefit from same ideas
Assuming we may have any impact on Suunto’s priorities, the question is : how could be gather all ideas votes into the same messages
Btw, i love your idea.

@Mff73 Aaaa, sorry, didn’t see that
-
I think I already requested this - it is especially noticable on the (one!) analogue face on the SV which only has one (!) changeable complication (out of 4 complications), and then only two data possibilities - altitude or battery level. My Ambit 3 had more options…
-
-
@Mff73 I agree, but how else / where else to put in our requests to get visibility and votes?
-
• An hourly alarm (just a simple beep or two)
• Ability to have the seconds always showing on the watchface
• Some different options to swap out with the Solar graph - barometric pressure would be an obvious choice
• At least one data field that you’re able to select and show on the map screen, for example distance, time of day etc
• Having ‘Raise To Wake’ available in the options that you can select from during an activity. At the moment you can only have the backlight permanently on which is an unnecessary drain on the battery
• A slightly faster notification that you have gone off route when using navigation -
If I can add my wish, I would love to see an update for strength training with automatic rep count. And maybe something like Coros has, where you can choose in the beginning which part are you training (core, arms, etc.) with an overview of that in the app

Can’t you do this by turning screen timeout on? Or does that force a button push to wake it back up even w R2W global setting on?

at least for me, it seems that raisetowake is working during activities : i mean, when exercising in the dark, my SV has the screen “on”, but without any backlight, and if i raise my wrist, it is lightning.
But it is lightning in medium “power” : if i press a button instead of raising the wrist, the backlight is stronger.
in fact, exactely like in watch mode. -
@stromdiddily Raise to wake works the same for me also if in an activity to everyday use. I only turn the backlight on if say on the bike and the watch is on the handlebars otherwise raise to wake works really well. Much better than in the 9 Baro that could be hit or miss!

@Frederick-Rochette Button lock in time mode - (same like during exercise) and bug fixes
-
@Frederick-Rochette
My expectations / wishes…- Possibility to add fields to map display.
- Increased map zoom out to at least 5k
- Possibility to choose Locations display on maps
- Possibility to change/fix map route on the go when route is not passable
- Sleep phase graph
- Alarm clock time on display or at least that alarm is activated
- Possibility to choose another widget by swiping in opposite direction.
- Built in climbing angle data in %
I could go on but these are my top of the list expectations
