No-Map-Problem

@ChrisA yes, it is a problem on Suunto’s side.
This is why I wrote the comment right above yours.
Please follow thiese steps to have it resolved.
I am in direct contact with the devs and am sure that it can be fixed within short time, once we receive the logs and ideally also the position of where the maps don’t show.
If you have sent your details to Dimi, he will also take care of it. (y) -
@Egika Ok thanks - no problem, new product - anyone should be aware, that there are some glitches. As long as I know that I am not the problem (being too dumb to set it up the right way, or there is a weird technical problem on my side) I can wait for an solution on Suunto’s side.
For my map position (at the office, no map here also): 48.43332°N 9.96657°E

@ChrisA
great mindset -
@freeheeler On of my grandmasters alway quoted Laoze, when we asked him, when he will teach us a certain technique: “Have patience. Wait until the mud settles and the water is clear. Remain patient and then the right action arises by itself.” The older I get, the more I appreciate his teachings, often we run an hesitate through life and nothing gets done any faster by doing that

@ChrisA Did you download all suggested maps?
I live near three regions and the app suggested to download all three.
I do not have any issue so far. -
@lessthanmore yes I did (although the ap did not suggest it). I did a walk yesterday and the area I walked is exactly where the map should be:
thats where I walked:
and that’s the corresponding area on the map I had downloaded before (and for which the Vertical told me, that it had the download completed). So actually there should have been a map
-
@ChrisA
that is so true, but only few people know or accept it.
I thought that your sport has an influence in thatgrass is not growing faster when you pull it
-
Bloody hell, I did a walk, when I begin the map is still there, 10 minutes after it became empty. And I et off route message even I’m on the route.
Can’t believe this.

@zhang965 Have you contacted Suunto Support?

@ChrisA another great man Freddie Mercury used to say “I want it all and I want it now!”

While still waiting for my Vertical to arrive, I thought I would read through the Suunto Vertical user manual online. Just FYI for the Admins here, there is a broken link on the Offline maps section: https://www.suunto.com/en-ca/Support/Product-support/suunto_vertical/suunto_vertical/navigation/offline-maps/
A more detailed instruction on how to setup a wireless network and download offline maps in Suunto app is available here.
The hyperlink for ‘…available here.’ is broken and gets the following:
404 ERROR

Sorry! The page you are looking for does not exist anymore. -
@StefanoMorgan Thanks for your hint, but I don‘t see what that would be good for, other than they would also tell me, that there‘s a problem. As long as I know theres nothing I can do, I‘ll wait until Suunto comes up with an solution
-
@BrunoH yeah… it didn’t go so well for him. What a pitty he died so early. He was such a great musician
-
@ChrisA If you read most of his comments, i think you understand how it is meant
-
@StefanoMorgan now i got it
-
@mikekoski490 it looks like FAQs about the Vertical are not up yet, and that link was supposed to send you to an FAQ.
-
@ChrisA we found the issue with the region and should be fixed (awaiting confirmation from other internal and extrernal testers ) . If you want to go on and test
- delete the regions you down loaded with SA
- sync your watch.
- out the watch on the charger for 10 mins (maybe optional)
- reboot (maybe optional )
- redownload the maps
Test
-
I will test it soon. With „reboot“ You mean a soft reset?
-
@Racoon6 yes
