Suunto Vertical: Bug Collection
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov yes Suunto is aware, at the moment the issue is not fixed yet (as far as I can tell) but a fix is planned. So hopefully with next update.
-
@isazi, thanks for the answer! What about no vibration when battery is below 13%? Does Suunto know about it too?
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov I honestly do not know about this one.
-
@isazi Not much is said about this. In my case, any vibration disappears after 13% (the watch is not in battery saving mode, “do not disturb” is off, normal use). Vibration disappears every time the battery is discharged, at least with software 2.30.26. I reported this earlier on the forum. At every charge above 13%, vibration starts working normally.
Maybe someone had the same situation? -
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov I did not notice this behavior, but as vibrations are not really important for me, I‘m not sure about this topic…
-
Perhaps it depends on the hardware? My Hardware 2901E2.

Good morning everyone
I would appreciate your assistance…
In the last two weeks, the data on the cumulative climb (ascent) that there is in the run, which is illogically high for the terrain itself, identical routes that I ran with a Garmin Phoenix 6 or with a friend who ran with Coros, showed drastically different data (for example, running with 150 meters of cumulative height, the Suunto showed me 1100 meters…) I also did an automatic reset for the barometer and the altitude sensors Do you know or have met him?
Do you know how to handle it? -
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov Below 20% battery level vibration level is lowered, I have noticed that behavior in my Suunto Vertical.
It’s a bit annoying because I can train several days with battery below 20% before recharge it.
I could understand a “battery saving mode” below 10% or 5% battery level but, below 20% with the new battery lifes?? -
@jjpaz I also noticed a decrease in vibration intensity of about 13%, it seems like a barely noticeable vibration.
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov Seems like some early-stage energy saving mode which should normally be fully triggered at 10%. I have also noticed this (no vibrations) at around 20%
-
@kriskus If this is some kind of power saving mode, it definitely does not affect the backlight, notifications and sounds.
-
@Sergei-Ladeishchikov as far as I know the vibration is adaptive and less strong as the battery goes down. I agree that for a device like the Vertical 20% is too early to stop vibrating, I will open a ticket with Suunto and see if they can change the threshold.
-
@isazi The intensity of vibration, in my opinion, remains constant as the discharge progresses, except for the moment before it disappears.

Sorry, didn‘t scroll through whole thread. Is there a know issue with sudden touchscreen lag (not usable anymore) / unresponsiveness? Will it be corrected via SW update or broken touchscreen? Thanks?
-
@suuntastic unresponsive touchscreen on Vertical should be fixed with next update I believe.
-
@isazi thanks!

I had a very replenishing shower on Saturday after a 100k trail race resources went high, and after 10,5h sleep I had 99%. It was probably too late so send logs when I finally saw that.

I trie the indoor swimming today . Well it seems it’s way off when calculating the distance in the pool. In a 25 m pool it gave almost random numbers :
On a freestyle mode once it gave me 4times the distance (so all the metrics are completely off as it indictaing that I am probably a world record type of swimmer - while I am not ) and the other time just 2… (so still probably a very competitive athlete that should be ok at the Olympics this year )I think it needs some adjustment and I hope the next firmware fixed it as it really does not offer anything to record such a unstable and random numbers
