@plisken So it seems like the problem is related to custom activities, right?
I have had Auto Pause on for the standard Cycling and it has never failed.
-
@plisken I also use walking based activity custom profile and I’ve never had a problem with the “auto pause” function disappearing. Maybe it’s related to the selected GPS accuracy? I always use GPS in best accuracy mode.
-
@plisken can you explain what you mean with “disappearing”? Is it disabled during the activity? Is it not saved for next activity? You cannot see it in the menu anymore during activity?
-
For clarification, this happened with both custom sports/activities and the standard ones. The thing with the standard one, once it disappears, there is no way to bring it back without a hard reset.
Images below should explain what I mean, this was for an activity (can’t recall which one, was a run or walk for sure). Images were within 10 minutes of each other.
-
@plisken thanks, now I see what you mean
-
@plisken, “Autopause” option disappears when GPS is turned off. It reappears when GPS is turned on. In my opinion, this is not a bug and is obvious. Please check if this is not the case.

@dulko79 this also happened to me tofay. Battery at 8%. Alarm for 6:50 didn’t vibrate (sound is off) an later it shows alarm screen at 8:35. I’ve checked and vibration is ON in settings. I didn’t find any answer to this bug in the forum. Is this known? Will be corrected in next firmware? @isazi @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos thank you and keep up the excellent work with this forum and app.
Cheers

@pedromslopess Vibration stops at around 12% battery left (10% according to the manual). Charge the watch and it starts working again
-
Power saving turns on at 2% (although the manual says 10%)
-
@surfboomerang It is clear vibration stops working below certain battery %. The thing is that alarm goes off at some random time (just message shown, no sound) after the planned time for alarm.
-
@surfboomerang I know that charging will solve, usually I don’t let the battery sonlow, but was just confirming to be aware of this in any future situation, and, if this it’s the normal behaviour. Didn’t sae that on the manual, will search better. Imo 10% it’s a lot to stop vibration even for notifications, 10% it’s almost 3 days on VERTICAL
Thanks -
Got a new SV on saturday. While first loading the watch (got it with 53%) the watch has powered off at 99%.
Also the notifications seem to be a little bit faulty.
I have a few notifications, that i could not delete on the watch. The watch says to put the watch in better range to the phone. 50cm should be no problem as a “distance” i think.
I also had it a few times, that the complete notification widget was stopped working because it was “too busy” haha.Suunto, this Firmware has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed asap.

My issue is that there are these orphaned notifications on the watch that no longer exist on the phone. I cannot delete these notifications either.

@seanvk Maybe a restart of the watch may help. I have given up on this watch and have sent it back. Purchased a garmin instead. I will follow this forum from time to time and hope the bugs will be fixed. For me… i have purchased a full product that should run fine from the beginning. But the SV does not. Really bad.

My sv’s touch screen doesn’t work today.
Lol my next watch will be a garmin

@seanvk there are a couple of notifications that may still get stuck, for me it is the default Android phone app for example. A final fix to this old issue is coming with the next firmware release, and it works great.
-
@isazi Seeing is believing.

What do you mean? There is a lie in believe
-
Not sure if this is a bug but since its not explained in suunto manual:
Sometimes I can activate backlight by tapping the screen and sometimes not. Other times I need to press the middle button to be able to use touch screen gestures and swipes. What is the expected behaviour? Can I change this in some menu?
-
@6294946 That’s the automatic screen lock. You can’t change it.
“When you are not recording an exercise, the screen locks and dims after one minute of inactivity. To activate the screen, press any button.”
