Suunto Vertical: Bug Collection
-
@surfboomerang
@Mff73
it depends what data is in the top fields. if it consumes too much space the time is suppressed to give the datafield priority. rearrange and it will appear again.
I’ve changed from 7 to 5 datafields and find them sufficient for my needs -
@freeheeler You are totally right. I rearranged some fields and now the time is visible
-
@renton82 Italian? It looks like missing translation
-
@isazi yes, italian.
-
@isazi It’s there in English as well. Happens if you activate Climb (Suunto Plus).
-
@renton82 mee too
-
@isazi Same for the German version
-
It’s also present in the post activity summary on the watch itself.
-
Yesterday after almost a week without a charge I put Vertical on charger, and after few hours I found it shut down. I had to hold upper button for 12s to wake it up.
-
@trailcafe oh it’s in the app, not the watch, sorry my mistake.
-
@isazi Both actually.
-
@Ilya-Sul I will report it, thanks
-
@isazi Thanks!
-
@Ilya-Sul it seems to be an issue with the S+ app itself, if so the fix will not even require a firmware update.
-
@isazi Also in spanish. That banner appear in the post activity summary screen, Suuntoplus Climb data.
-
Another small UI issue I noticed. When navigating a route, my next waypoint called “Begin” was announced (I was riding in the other direction than how the route was created). On the screen annoucing this next waypoint, bottom part of the letter “g” was cut off. The text looked like “Beain”. Nothing major but I wanted to share it so that Suunto can fix this.
-
Feedback after first mountaineering tour:
- S+ app “safe” not working (black screen)
- touchscreen stopped working not during activity (after soft reset everything was fine)
- solar widget shows strange data for saturday (after more than 11 hous activity with sun burn despite three time sun protection with 50 SPF)
-
@Mitch9 Yesterday I was out the whole day, got a sunburn on my face and forearms. But my graph showed just one “dot”, like there was almost no sun outside. So far I see no benefit from the solar panel, just a gimmick.
-
@Mitch9 at what charging level has the watch been on Saturday approximately?
-
@tomasbartko the display may be a gimmick, the solar charging itself is not. Battery run time is increased by up to 30% with the watch facing the sun. This has been verified by many testers as well.
