Suunto Vertical: Bug Collection
-
@isazi yes I was in the support chat
-
@Kurt68 Did they help you?
I used the chat too and got the advice to restart the watch and wait if it happens once again.
-
Today I tested OHR from SVT and, as you can see, it worked very well.
You can see, it worked very well, better than on my old 9P.
The only problem is that my VO2max is 10% lower than usual, while my performance was equivalent or even better… HR vs pace.
I’ve also noticed that there are gaps in the resources (at shower time, but I only took the watch off for 10 minutes at most) and that these have suddenly started to rise (around the time I took min bike to go for a run). This makes the data irrelevant with fluctuations like that. It seems to me that this has already been pointed out and that it will be resolved in the next update?

Hello, can someone tell me what I need to do to get my fitness level displayed on the watch. I have recorded the following training sessions so far: 2x hiking (over 7 hours); 2x walk (1 hour); 2x cross trainer (1.5 hours). Nothing is displayed in the Watch as you can see. Thanks!
-
@Racoon6 you need to complete a run with some minimum effort, to get enough data for the watch to sample in all HR zones. I suggest going for a 30min run at higher intensity.
-
@runomatic same statement for me. Let’s see until it was the only crash I had.
-
@Egika then the manual is wrong? Walking should do the trick…
-
@twekkel yes, the manual is wrong in this aspect. My comment is correct.
-
@twekkel I guess both the manual and on watch guidance as well. I noticed that when I first started the Vertical - when you scroll down on that screen it did say ‘Go for a walk or run…’
-
@mikekoski490 that’s how I read and understood it
-
Walk should work, if you can hit higher intensities just walking
-
@Frederick-Rochette it’s said that we go away from FB
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos if walk vo2max would work with Suunto’s algo, that would be amazing. My VO2Max always plummets after longer walks/hikes.
-
@isazi - this was one of my Tours
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos sorry but I don’t understand
-
I would’ve thought that whatever battery mode you select the watch would remember that setting for the next time? I would like to use ‘Custom’ for all of my running, but whenever I start a new activity it reverts back to ‘Performance’. Any work around for this?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I’m actually really looking forward to seeing what Suunto comes up with. The FB stuff was just okay imo.
-
@MiniForklift
every new selected activity has performance by default. if you want to remember an activity a certain battery setting it is custom battery that remains in the activity for the next time. maybe this is what you mean? -
@MiniForklift If custom contains the same settings (GPS: best, touch: map only, display timeout:off) as performance then the watch will also show performance as default.

Maybe it’s more an app issue but because map download is only possible for SV, I post it here:
Searching for “Germany” or “Deutschland” in the map download section, I get no results. I had to scroll down to select it.
