Are there any differences regarding screen quality between solar and non solar models? In this video the display of the non solar models look great, while the solar models look pretty bad. I don’t think the angle of the camera is the reason.

Hi all!
Happy days today. Ordered one and I’m and I have one question. I received email from Suunto welcoming me to the Suunto community. In the newsletter it says that I can create a Suunto account and get to know the features on movescount.com??? (the link goes to suunto.com.Is moves count coming back or is it just a old text that have been missed?

No. The display screen area is exactly the same.
The solar panel is just hiding under the outer ring where there is no displayed sacreen content. -
@wmichi screen is the same, I have both versions. However solar has the solar cell on top, but I used it for months now and readability is great. I have to keep backlight settings to low because it’s too bright otherwise.

@helgonet12 lets fix that thanks
-
@isazi Thanks for clarification. I know, there is this solar ring around the display (not on top of the display like on Garmin watches according to dc rainmaker). I was just wondering, why the black on the solar screens looks so grey, while the non solar versions have a deep black and great contrast. But if you say the displays on both versions look the same, I believe you Can’t wait to find out by myself.

I preffered the s9p over the baro. I prefer the Vertical over s9p.
So if you have doubts just order wear and send back. Or go to a shop. The watch is not like the humongus s9b
Thanks for your input. Regarding costumization of watchfaces and shortcuts we remain the same compared to s9p?

@André-Faria yes… for now
-
@wmichi It looks to me like a sticker on the non-solar version.

For all who are familiar with the watch: are there any other differences (for example, additional functionality) between the solar and non-solar models, besides the obvious ones (the solar itself and the titanium)?
-
@Ivan-Vasilev nope, they are the same for everything else.
-
I understood that the HRV test would come with the next update :-).
Is it also planned to be able to embed music in the watch?
Some tests mention lag in the interface. Will this be fixed in the next update?
And finally, will the next version allow us to draw a route directly on the watch and/or will it be routable? -
I’m trying to login on Suunto shop page but it doesn’t work since this morning, is there any kind of problem? I have tried with different browser too.

Would love to upvote that answer but I can’t hehe
I am not sure if it has been answered, but in this device is the 0% resources bug solved (after activity like yoga)? -
@isazi Do you know if they plan on releasing all colours of the Suunto 22MM athletic 2 strap?

off topic a bit: i forgot what is that general rule with a new watch which usually comes at 70% battery…charge it full out of the box or wait until it’s empty for it’s first charge?
Oh and…Orange Titanium ordered -
@vlado With lithium batteries I guess there are no more rules like leave it whole night to fully charge, etc. What I do is I plug it till it reaches 100 then use it. After a couple of cycles it should enter normal battery use and wear. Lately I’ve been reading not to overcharge lithiums so I tend to go to 80-85 and use it to 20-30 and charge again. Once in a month I go to 0 and 100 again.
