@Tieutieu
You don’t need to manually sync, just toggle the route after you’ve created it. -

Ohhhh such an idiot I am…of course just have to switch “use in the watch”…
So, it works and I have never used it…as I was sure it needed full sync… -
So the titanium is out of stock in the Suunto store. Good job Suunto
-
@Hristijan-Petreski In the german homepage there are canyon, sand and black ruby not available…
-
@Hristijan-Petreski Solar Canyon next delivery date on Amazon is… July 17 The only Titanium model available that can still be delivered next week is Forest.
-
@freeheeler , @mikekoski490, @Tieutieu, @Kramble
I have had mine since 20/03/23 (Ti Solar). I cannot find scratches.

@Brad_Olwin

concerning this point I have read that with the vertical it seems to be possible to synchronise new routes or waypoints even during a current exercice ?
I can already do this even on my Spartan
Ok…I tought/it seems to me that I can’t synchronise the app with my S9B during an exercice (“watch is occupied” message ? ). Or I missed something…
You can add a route during exercise but not sync the exercise, not sure about S9b but I think so.

@Brad_Olwin said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro?:
@ink357 I used an Epix 2 for 6 months and I am not convinced maps are needed. Not sure how useful maps are on a watch. BTW, I use maps a lot. Yes the competition has maps so Suunto needs them but from my experience they are less useful than I anticipated.
@Brad_Olwin I’m curious if your opinions on maps have changed after testing the Vertical all this time.

@Brad_Olwin such a beautiful piece of engineering. You’re making us impatient

Good question
On the Epix2 the maps reduced battery life significantly, I was not happy about that. Since Garmin maps are routable the battery hit is significant. On Suunto much less so, especially with the Solar panel. Yes, there are occasions where I will not have to get my phone out but, many times I will have to look at a larger map on the phone.For an ultra race……I would probably pick my 9PP, it is so light and has sufficient battery. For my typical long run or SkiMo in the mountains where I am often off trail, I would use the Vertical. Maps are good but I really want a zoomable route elevation profile colored by grade with real time ascent/descent data based on the zoom level.

@Kramble for sure titanium version will be a bit less sensible to scratches…but anyway I would conclude this way : If your suunto doesn’t have sratches, push harder and bring it further. It is an adventure device !
So true, but it still hurts when your watch gets scratched.

You’re right, when your watch scratches it often means your arm was hurt !!

@Hristijan-Petreski
routes stored in SA are also available to sync to the watch without network afairProbably a dumb question but for routes that are already in my SA for my S9, when I sync those to my Vertical I assume they get the full colour map treatment? Or will that not happen for the routes I created ages ago?
-
@MiniForklift
Routes and maps are different layers on the same view, as far as I’ve understood.
So I don’t expect any “issues” -
@MiniForklift, maps are independant from routes. You could/can use your vertical with no maps at all
-
Before anyone panics that’s in New Zealand dollars, not American. So now I guess we wait
-
@taziden the real question is here, in the comments:
Can it run Doom ?How many FPS for Doom ? -

Think of it this way, you’re paying $1,000 to ship a heavily discounted watch. Worth it, no? #GlassHalfFullMindset

Any issues with ‘ghost notifications’ with the Vertical? That’s always been a bit of a PITA with my S9B
