@freeheeler got lime and orange
-
@freeheeler . I have ben reasonnable…for now…just lime ordererd to complete the one to come with my black titanium vertical
-
@Hristijan-Petreski
all colors are great, but I fear it could lead to discussions at home -
@freeheeler Especially with ‘strong’ colours that easily catches the eye. I can hear the sentence: ‘Yet another strap?’
-
@Hristijan-Petreski
even with dark colors… I recall the discussion: these pants are black - no, they’re blue… -
@freeheeler A ha ha… yes good one forgot about those
-
@freeheeler I ordered the black solar version, but was really tempted to go for the sand version. On some photo’s the strap looks pretty white however.
-
@surfboomerang
my wife’s got the pro titanium sand and it really is a nice color. it’s not white, I would say it’s beige -
@freeheeler Maybe I have to reconsider…
-
@freeheeler The sand color looks awesome. I think I’ll order one for my 9pp. The good thing is that I can use it later on my future Vertical.
-
@Highlands
that’s the beauty of staying at 22mm
and I find them more comfy than wider straps to be honest -
@freeheeler The black one of my 9pp dries really fast.
-
Lets’ just say Suunto Vertical is here

1.optical hr accuracy seems poor from all reviewers
OHR is quite complicated, I had very bad results until a month and a half ago, now it is very good running/walking and biking. The only issue I had lately was mountain biking where for part of the activity it tracked too low.
- V02max estimate for dc rainmaker well below all other watches.
Nothing changed about VO2max, but Suunto may move from Firstbeat at some point.

Another question Now with the 32gb of memory is there restriction in how many routes can the vertical hold?
As of today, the external storage is for maps and S+ apps. But never say never, as more things may be moved there in the future.
-
Quite a minor detail, but will the vertical come in that awesome black box we saw on the teasing traillers or not at all?
And what about the matching merchandising, will it be available for sale?Till now this video is one of the more complete I have seen
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_z1zwkgmcgit touches also the minor details that could be improved.
Waiting to see more comparison reviews with other watches -
@André-Faria the watch is shipped in a small “cube” shaped box, like most Suunto watches before it.

Preordered (and have to run by my fiancee before they arrive ). Switching from Garmin Fenix 7 back to Suunto
For these reasons:
- battery life - if it is as claimed, then it is a gamechanger! During my important run (120k FKT attempt) my F7 died (fortunately pacer has been tracking), Garmin proved that the battery estimates vary a lot (maps drain a lot of battery, backlight turns unnecessarily on)
- the lag in maps! With F7 the lag before the map actually turns is really annoying and sometimes I have to wait or do some steps in one direction and then go back if I am on the wrong path, based on the reviews the Vertical is smooth and fast in this regard!
- design. Suunto has beautiful design.
- Mobile app. Finally I can get rid of the terrible Garmin app and go back to the beautiful and useful Suunto app!

This aspect has not gotten enough love yet: The Vertical maps turn and scroll super smooth and instantly!!

@isazi @gone-troppo HR inaccuracy on S9B drove me crazy to the point that I’ve started using a chest strap for ALL activities, even walking. I was just standing and the watch said my HR was 170. Now with S9PP it’s much much much better. No chest strap during walking anymore.
