Suunto Vertical is here

Reading right now the DC Rainmaker review.
Regarding the flashlight. Seems weird indeed that we have to tap 8 times the down button to activate it. Not really discrete or practical… -
@v-sacre there is development on the interface going on, things may change. But it is not as bad as it sounds, you just scroll down (one button press, and then touch) and it’s there.
-
@isazi It would be great to have it as a beamer at night when running (so in the running menu)
-
@Hristijan-Petreski you can activate backlight from the activity menu. But as I said, there may be large UI and UX changes in the next firmware releases.
-
I can’t find when orders from Suunto.com will start being shipped, does anyone know?
Bought mine anyway -
I like this ad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0Kdf8T8YWA

@jw-cou should be next Tuesday, but sometimes it is faster.
-
Yes, that’s a really nice ad.

Stainless steel all black for me (don’t care about the color as long as it is black). The Titanium black, just has a black strap, while the crown is dark grey.

and where is the user guide?

Congrats to all Suunto team, really a step up! Specially on communication!
As you have done with the s9p, this is a device that gives envy to buy! Specially the sand one!
Annoying question, is this still “feature” or something that will be improved on the next firmware updates?
Some questions:
-with this device does sync works both ways? So people who was gps’ that sync to Suunto app, can also have that on the watch?
-are sleep time detection improved compared to s9p?A bit offtopic but with more resources, can we expect something being done regarding support of older watches (a3) on the app or not at all?
-
@zhang965 will be out when SW is final for the RID
-
@André-Faria there are UI speedups coming up but not on release
-
Small example on battery life: charged the watch to 100% Friday evening to download some maps. During the weekend I did 5 hours and 20 minutes (more or less) of outdoor activities with GPS in dual band, maps, navigation, plus all daily metrics enabled (including SpO2 during sleep). Battery is now at 90%, but mostly because yesterday was rainy and I’ve been inside, so no solar effect.
Saturday after all the day out under the sun, I went to bed with more battery than in the morning.I thought initially that solar was a gimmick, but after using it in Italy I was so impressed I ordered the titanium model today, even if more expensive.
-
@isazi Is the dual band always turned on with the performance mode or can you disable/enable it per sport activity?
-
@Hristijan-Petreski thats the battery modes now
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos ok cool
-
FYI the watch if staying in the sun (not worn) for 2h it got 3% up for me here in GR
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I wish I haven’t moved from Gr to De But visiting my grandparents during summer should suffice
-
Can you drop some pictures of watchfaces? Will there be any new ones?
