Suunto Vertical is here

@lexterm77 I knew there were running shoe junkies (me, for example), but I didn’t know about strap junkies yet.
-
@lexterm77 now I know… thats the reason of beeing out of stock! Strap fetish
-
@runomatic
@SuperFlo75
I’ve got 3 only(straps AND pair of running shoes)
-
I need a new board for 24mm, but I am afraid it will become obsolete size for Suunto?
After Vertical, the only thing I am missing are podcasts and S7 watch faces (Heatmap and solstice) which I think V is capable of.

Three pairs of running shoes?? This is ascetic. I’ve got more than 20. Okay, I admit it, that’s completely nuts.
-
@runomatic
I’m always aiming for becoming a minimalist one day
…I run frequently, but I don’t consider myself as a runner… 3 pairs of shoes is alright -
You should test all 20 and report it here which one is best, there is a new app in the Suunto store that tests running shoes.
-
@lexterm77 My blog is about testing running shoes.
The best shoe for me does not necessarily have to be the taste of all. My current favorite is the HOKA Tecton X 2 on trails and the HOKA Mach 5 for street running.
But let’s stop that discussion. It’s much off topic here in this thread.
We’ve this here in the forum for talking about shoes:

Guess (Fused Alti Algo) Ascent on Vertical is more advanced like S9P (counts more rollings hills), not like S9B, right?
Is OHR Vertical better than S9PP early days, or same?

S9B has the same ascent algorithm as the other watches, it was in a firmware upgrade in 2022 I believe.
-
@isazi slightly different. S9P collects more ascent on rolling hills.
-
@suuntastic the algorithm is the same, the hardware (and filters) no.

Some nice TV time for the SV here
-
@MiniForklift watching it live I have been wondering if it was the SV…
Don’t know the strap she uses and was almost seeing 5 buttons on her watch !
But…anyway…who cares !!?? She’s the GOAT and an amazing woman !! -
@MiniForklift Looks like S9PP to me:
-
@inkognito nice thanks for the screenshots
-
Oh, well that’s surprising if it is an S9PP but with the absence of the yellow dots on the side of the buttons you may be right ?!
-
@MiniForklift Is it really that surprising? I would rather wear a 55 g weighting S9PP for a 100 mile race than noticeably heavier SV…
Not that I even dare to hope that I will ever be able to run that far -

Lol. Hey watching an elite runner wear the same watch as me is all the dopamine rush I need to end the weekend!

Not only Courtney but also the winner of this year’s Hardrock 100, Aurélien Dunand-Pallaz.
I’ve seen him wear a SV, but I think he ran with a S9PP.
