@theguyfromthesummit Suunto+ uses NGP, so they could possibly give advise based on NGP for pacing

        Would be nice!

Unfortunately it looks like, this idea doesn’t get enough attention for Suunto to think about it 😑

@theguyfromthesummit This would be great for races, where I mark Aid Stations with waypoints.

I just checked out some Garmin watches and this is exactly the PacePro function the fenix6 pro series has.

You give the watch a specific pace/ time and load a route. Based on the ascent and descent etc the watch calculates the pace needed for each segment and tells you, if you are too fast/ slow or just right.

@theguyfromthesummit but PacePro is for kilometers or uphill/downhill section as far as I remember, not for section to a user specified waypoint or am I wrong? If it works for waypoints: how do I have to set it up?

                      Regarding waypoints, I don’t know.
I just read, that it works with a route. So just for the whole race.

“When PacePro is applied to a course loaded to your watch, it analyzes elevation changes along the course to calculate a pace strategy.”

                      But I never used it.

@theguyfromthesummit yes, that’s how it works, just for a whole track. They also changed the pace limit from 8min50 to 12min30 so I think more people can use it now for pacing on ultras/trailrunning
